These idiots don't seem to understand that global warming is not only an earth problem. According to NASA every planet in our solar system has increased in temperature about 12 degrees. Therefore it is not simply a matter of driving fuel efficient cars and installing solar panels.

Hummers themselves are not the enemy. I don't hear about these cowards attacking Escalades, Navigators, Expeditions, giant pickup trucks or gas guzzling super sports cars, they too get less than stellar fuel economy.

let's hope they dont realize that boats and planes burn way more fuel than any cars.
we went fishing last saturday and burned around 200 gallons of diesel and we didn't even run the boat very hard.
there are no emission equipment on marine diesel engines.
they don't produce black smoke like old diesels used to, but they sure do emit more CO2 and CO than any vehicles that are on the roads.
look at construction equipment. we are currently developing a 1300 acre master planned community. the heavy machinery currently operating on our property are constantly spewing diesel smoke into the sky. i dont think any construction equipment is regulated for greenhouse gases. these big cranes, bulldozers and earthmovers are massive and it takes quite a few hp's to do perform their jobs. the black smoke rising around here is pretty thick. it has to be just as thick anywhere there is new development. i dont see the tree huggers chaining up or otherwise molesting our construction equipment.

i am sure that the prius owners aren't the ones destroying hummers in these instances. i remember seeing some article that the people that purchase hybrids tend to be well educated, high wage earners and are not prone to violence. i bet that these are the works of young kids on some dare trying to earn some "respect" from their peers. too bad they will just end up in jail before they are 18 at this rate...
