12,000 miles and 13.1 mpg. I don't get much different milage even with all freeway driving. Probably because it's shaped like a brick!

I was told this and now that I'm seeing others mile-o-meter Ha!
next to the gas-o-meter. still haven't found it. It's starting to make sense. To a point your mpg goes up from new to some break-in period. This won't work with people with lead in there foot one day and lead in there as#%% the next.

Hey, PhilD - A question about the octane thing. I understand the higher compression thing relative to higher octane but how does the higher octane enter into the programer settings. I recently put on the Superchips programer and their "Performance/Towing" setting requires 91 premium gas. Funny thing is that this weekend we filled the rig up with about half a tank if regular because I was going to reprogram it to the lower setting to use regular fuel. We went from 10.6 mpg to 11.5 mpg after putting in the regular and not touching the programer yet. I'm thinking of trying to run at the "Performance" setting with regular fuel to see how it does. Has anyone out there tried this yet?

My 2003 with an Airforce One averaged 12.9. I traded it after 42000 miles for my 2004. It is still stock and also averaging 12.9. Primarily highway.
