The H2 is not a slow truck! I kick my brothers ass all the time in his 95 Tahoe (non vorteck 350)its far lighter, his 96 Tahoe (vortec) will beat me though. With other trucks, I feel it hangs in there fine. If you have a rolling start, and it kicks down, you will move out pretty darn good! In the H3 loaners I've had, when you stomp it and it kicks down, it makes a lot of noise but dosen't seem to go anywhere. Who runs a full quater mile anyway? Its all about kicking it down and passing idiots to me.

I thing the v8 alpha H3 will be a great truck both on and off. I love over-powered vehicles. You will be able to spin through deep mud and power up steep, loose hills that weaker vehicles will just get bogged down on, and pass iditos (key!!!), older model H3's, H2's, and of course H1's.

I like you love having power. If you want a powerful truck get an H2 or wait for the H3 Alpha. Sorry guys but IMO the I5 (either version) just isnt powerful enough.

... go H3.

Damn... You must have gotten a V8 H3 early, because my piece of **** I-5 was a dog. My buddies named it the angry chipmonk because they swore that was what was under the hood...

Thank's, I was the nicest one on the lot. And the interior is a step up. When my wife saw the interior she said it was the only one she like and the rest were to plain.

I found that the desert sand H2 is faster than most of the pewter H2's.

It's much quicker than the black H3 too.

I'm sure it's the color though. Even though most Desert Sand H2's are wayyyyyyy cooler than their slower brothers, I have to go with the H2 for speed on this one.

Yep... I gotta admit it... I screwed the pooch on that one!!!

Maybe I should keep my head low when discussing H3s, huh!?!

Oh well.... I'm safe now that I have the automatic release pontoon system on my H2!

Math major were you? Word problems, I'm sure, provided quite the challenge...

And trying to get a 'feeling' for how fast a truck that isn't for sale yet...need I say more. Don't let mom and dad catch you sneaking into the bathroom with the Jerkins and the Hummer brochures!

I was doing a little different driving in the H2 today... a lot of slow bastages to pass and now I have to say the H2 does kick the H3's ass, at least in the 40-90mph range. I'd be going 40, start to pass and end up at 90 in no time... twas very fun.

But I still say the H3 isn't underpowered, I never had a problem in it. The H2 is just more powerful.

Slow vs. slow. 90 in no time, yea compared to a Yugo.

Humdingah! look man you are an idiot! Become literate then read the post, Im speaking of the current h3. not the alpha! If you could comprehend English then this wouldnt be a problem. And my math isn't off, I want you to take a LONG walk off a SHORT pier! that means i want you to take a walk greater than 50feet(meaning more than since you didn't follow that the first time) off a pier that is 50 feet long! hopefully there will be some nice jagged rocks to catch you at the bottom. All you have relentlessly tried to do is belittle me. Tough guy! what a man you are! Teach me how

Dude, don't get your panties in a bunch... Sheesh....

Just to clarify Mr. Russell-H3-Alpha, I think he is saying to walk 51 feet out on a 50 foot pier, then decend to maximum depth and remain there until further notification. Of course we all know if you do this in an H3, propellers will sprout out the wheel wells and you will be able to drive right out.

Of course, it didn't work when I tried it, but It may work for you....

Apparently I wasn't the only who wasn't able to follow your logic about the pier...but that doesn't come as a surprise.

Amazingly enough, marin8703 was able to find 0-60 times for not only the H2 and H3 but went so far as to provide 0-60 times for an H1 too...but since your dad 'had' one I'm sure you already knew what that time was. And, after perusing all of your posts, not once did you differentiate between the H3 and the H3 Alpha. Lastly, as several have mentioned, basing a purchase decision on what full-time 4WD vehicle is minutely faster is ridiculous. And correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't you just go down to a Hummer dealer and test drive the H2 and H3 for yourself...or are you too young to have a driver's license?

Out of lotion yet?
