Hi czar.....No they are not new parts. We had the existing parts painted to match. It was done by a conversion company, if you send me an email I would be more than happy to give you all the details.

Cubby, the exterior parts that were black plastic now match the pewter paint. Are those new parts? Did you paint them? Where did you get the paint? I just bought a pewter one myself and have been thinking about doing the same with some of the exterior black.

Thanks.

Why in the world do you not have the skid plate poished? I can tell you are not worried about damaging it
The truck is beautiful.

We didn't polish the skid plate........we did darken the background so the H2 would stand out better. Figured whats the point in chroming it. it's just gonna get scratched up anyway...LOL

p.s. Not a Forum Sponser..... ....workin on it though.....LOL

I'm thinking about having a skid plate black anodized, then polishing the top of the H2 letters to a mirror finish (like chrome).
Would anyone be interested ??

Bright-Lee

I was just going to ask you that question.

I was wondering if you have ever polished just the H2 logo and not the the background areas.

One of my customers had his skid plate polished, then he made a
Black vinyl lay-over for the H2. This really makes the letters stand out very well.
He works at a sign company and might be willing to make more of the lay-overs.
They could be available in other colors as well.

We did somewhat the same thing with ours......darkened the background so the H2 would stand out better.

I have an in-the-shipping-crate polished aluminum front skid plate. This would be a sweet addition to completing your plished/chromed look.
I have a polished aluminum "H2" front skid plate. Originally priced at about $300. I'll sell and ship you a un-touched new one for $150. Comes with hardware for attachment OVER the stock H2 skid plate. This would be a sweet addition to your shiny rig.

Thanks for the offer Frank, but we have decided not to do our skid plate. If we do in the future we will most likely chrome it.

But thanks anyway

Question about chrome. Underneath the rear bumper is the metal bumper where there is the tow hitch and tow hooks I want to get the chromed is it best to get it dipped in chrome or what? and how much do you think it will cost?
Also how do they do the interior to look like the outside? is it paint or plastic and how much is it?

Hello Cubby!
I too live in Houston, actually Katy - and recently had a 98 Mitsu Eclipse plow into the rear while my wife was at a dead stop. It looks like it totaled the Mits but NOTHING to my H2 cept a couple dents under the tow rings in the rear skid type bumper. After seeing your chrome I would like to replace the rear plate at least if you could recommend a place here.
Many thanks for the info!
