Your coming all the way from NY! Wow?! That would be a quick 13hour drive.

I'm saying March 10-12th, but I guess it depends on if this is cool with everyone else.
Time to get a running tab of who is SERIOUSLY wanting to go so that we can figure out where we are all staying (hotel vs. cabin).

I'm thinking the Days Inn. They have an indoor pool so anyone with kids would enjoy that.

March 10-12 works, but would anyone like to put in some extra time? Maybe arrive Thursday so we can wheel Friday. Even Wednesday would be great.

Days Inn seems to be booked for that weekend. Holiday Inn Express does have rooms. I will probably come in Thursday and checkout Monday

I'm in. Mine is stock but I'll swap out some tie rods before then. Is anyone just going to camp?

How do you guys feel about newbies tagging along? Is it really critical to upgrade tie rods before heading out? If trails are nastier than i want to tackle for my first outing(yep, im a "real" off road outing virgin) is there usually a safe way around it? I dont know if i would be able to come but i would love to--depends on business at the time.

You dob't have to upgrade your tie rods before you go...

But I would suggest stopping by your dealer and picking up a spare tie rod ($60 or so) just in case you "need" it.

I carry a spare tie rod and haven't needed it. yet.

Beyond that... Go for it. Have a good time.

You be fine

We can get there early and leave late. I have 2 spare rods should we need them but I won't be heavy into tools.

Looks like Friday, March 10th thru Sunday March 12th. I'll be leaving March 8 and should be in by noon the 9th. Gives me the rest of the day to get my truck ready.

What part of NY are you coming from?

I'll probably leave Wednesday and stay somewhere on 81 in southern Virginia.

I was afraid you might go that way. We're going to catch 85s to 40. Damn that's a long way.
