GM must be scraping the bottom if the ID barrel on this one. Must have hired some HS kids from the IIT. ;-)

Steering wheel does indeed look cheesy.
Nav system - that's a snoozer.
Antenna on the vent? What were they drinking? Glad I went for the year end 03 sale and didn't wait for this. I'd probably be driving an RX330.

Thanks for posting. I feel much better about my decision.

Tuscon,

It does seem more logical to mount the camera up top. Swapping the camera to hitch would be too tedious. Your way you could see your tow load also.

DVJ,

Your observation and decision was bang on. I think though(except for the antenna and that ****box NAV etc...)my critcism on the 04 was too harsh.

Apperantly, that have taken most of the issues and deficiencies that we on the Forum complained about(well some of us ). But on the downside they have added their own such as the antenna, NAV, wheel, etc. I think on balance the 04 is slightly better if not the same as the 03. These GM boys should be looking into this Forum and taking notes not listening to a bunch of pencil necks.

One thing I wouldnt mind seeing in the future of H2's is all four automatic windows, for down and up, instead of just the driver...Just like my lexus...That would be nice.

Mine has Express down on Driver and Passenger windows.

Yes, I think all 4 windows would be good BUT with an Express Up feature as well.

Why would we expect such things as a NAv with a separate CD changer (GM parts bin has one that would fit where the useless OnStar buttons are that is used in the old Escalades) and a camera so you can see when you back up and don't kill anyone when we can't even get a $.15 plastic holder for our change or hanger hooks?

I would like a heated steering wheel. The steering wheel gets so cold in Minnesota that it hurts to hold it without gloves.

NJH2 & DennisAJC

Here are the pictures of my Pioneer DVD NAV system and Monitor along with Rear Camera. BTW the camera is made by Rosen and the Pioneer monitor is a touch-screen type, lastly the NAV system is controlled by touch-remote-voice systems.

So the above pictures show my Pioneer NAV system and Rear camera setup. In pic #5 you can see the black mic for the voice command capabilities of the NAV system. I can use the NAV in a location that is great (also for the camera view). You can switch back and forth from NAV to rear camera (rear camera is automatic when in reverse). I can listen to my 6-CD stock unit at the same time. I think this is still a better approach than the 2004 NAV/CD system.

Tucson,

The Nav and monitor set up is exactly like mine...I love it!

The Bullet cameras is a FIRST! That is cool!

I think SteveR will love that set up...it will eliminate the spotter problem if you have one up front.

You inspire me...CHA CHING on the next purchases!!!
