It looks to me like the RubberDuck4x4 UCP will work CP. I think it actually bolts to that torsion crossmember. Look at this photo and follow the sides of the UCP...it fits *between* the torsion bars.

That was similar to what I had in my mind, but I was trying to figure out a way to put a bar on the outsides of the torsion bars so that they are in between 2 pieces and protected from both sides.

It would have to have a custom mount up at the front and angle up or something though.
