Zero calorie coke. I didn't know it existed until I bought one this morning.
I can attest that not only does have zero calories, it also has zero taste. No wait, it does have taste. It's the taste of azz. Brown, wet runny azz in a bottle. I drank all of two swigs before wasting another dollar on a regular coke.

Re: Hummer 1, Motorcycle 0
Where the hell do you live. A police cant tell you that you cant file a police report. If someone drops a tea cup on my toe, im filing a police report. Just get the police report!
If you want the poor kid to suffer, and you might suffer awell do the insurance claim. I wouldnt. 1000 dollars is not enough damage that a person driving a hummer cant fix themselves.
Now if your driving a kia, then maybe
What ever the damage, lets say he gives you 500-700 dollars, even tho its annoying you can cover the rest out of pocket.
GUYS U DRIVE A HUMMER, $1500 is chump change...its like a hummer tire.

Very true. You better get it looked at right away, then go from there. If it's $1000 bucks and he gives it to you, good. You want to safe, tho.

Maybe im missing something. All it has is the two drivers informations, the damage, date time location, witness names, names of people that were injured/died, and on the back your supposed to draw how it happened (you do this yourself, not an officer, and separately from the other driver so they may differ), and then your supposed to send it in to police hq. Im in chicago, and theres thoudands of accident per week, i think you have 7 days to file a police report after the accident. The whole process seems very disorganized.
So im not clear on how the report assigns blame, and i doubt when its sent in to police hq after you draw a pic on the back that they investigate thousands of reports weekly. I have noticed that the person who seems to be not at fault is usually listed as driver 1, is that how it is assigned, #1 no fault, #2 at fault. can someone clear this up?
another question, i have never personally filed an insurance claim so here it is. when you want to file a claim and the other driver is at fault, such as in evldave's case, do you contact your agent so he can start the process or go directly to the other drivers insurance company and file the claim there? I ask this because my dad, and a buddy (two separate occasions) were told by Allstate agent to do directly to the other company and file there, is this how it is?
thanks
|
Can't speak for anyware else but in Miami-Dade County Florida the Law Enforcement Agency responding to the accident DOESassign blame and fault to one party (on a rare occasion there is no blame)
As I stated elseware (and this will vary if your state has "NO FAULT" You notify your insurance as (if your not at fault) so in case a insurance problem arises later on)
BUT
You make the claim for repairs, damages and medical if necessary to the persons insurance who was at fault. It most cases they pay 100%.
With NO FAULT but making the claim through your own insurance YOU are responsible for the deductable (i think, not 100% sure on this very last part)
Will tell ALL of you, now is the time to check this out in your own City/State, BEFORE you are involved in an ACCIDENT...

Re: Hummer 1, Motorcycle 0
if you dont want to file it take down everything off his license, and registration, also take a picture of the crash or whatever and of him next to his bike at the crash scene and holding a sign saying "its my fault if i dont pay he can file against insurance" Also i know in the state of florida you dont need motorcycle insurance maybe he doesnt have any insurance on it to begin with. But i dont know what state your in.

Thank you, I appreciate you letting me have the last say. Now run along and tell your pappy your theory on how the person with the most money should be responsible in all accidents regardless of fault! Buh-bye!
