I have a small Weber now... WE have a small Weber now.
What about other brands and sizes. Looking to cook for around 15 people everyother weekend.
I hate the igniters. It doesn't seem to matter what they say at the store... The damn thing lasts one week!

i havent read all the responses so perhaps some of these issues have already been addressed.
i have to make several comments on the anti-jeep video. it begins with the scene of the woman jeeper rolling down hells gate. one thing i never saw in your video however, has an h2 even attempting hells gate. i have to wonder why that is?
the next scene shows a "heavily modified jeep" on potato salad. the video quality is poor, but that looks like a pick up truck to me. its possible that its a jeep truck but just because it may be a jeep truck does not make it a jeep.
the runaway down the lions back is a chevy blazer....you know, the h2 cousin (since the h2 is a tahoe with big tires).
the next scene shows a jeep liberty as trail rated for the mall. no respectable jeeper will argue this. the liberty is made by jeep, but it is not a jeep, nor is it accepted as one.
the next scene shows a couple h2's climbing hills that i could ride in my 4 year old daughters barbie jeep. big deal. if you want to show me an h2 action video, show me a video like this: http://7SlotGrille.com/multimedia/rubiford.html
climbing lions back is respectable, but lets face it theres no real challenge there. a subaru outback would handle lions den.
the next scene says "yj, tj, liberty... same frame same parts same result". at best this is bad information, at worst its simply a lie. a liberty doesnt even have a frame, its unibody. the liberty has a short arm IFS system (you know, just like the h2). the liberty uses a high revving v6 engine. the yj and tj are rigid frame builds with _real_ front axles and an inline 6 with a very flat torque curve.
the crack segment was impressive. im amazed to see such a large battleship make it through. good job there.
the jeep stuck in the mud with the h2 recovery sign was stupid. it would have been fine if the video showed an h2 attempting the same hole afterwards. since it didnt its a very hollow victory.
the hitler segment was disgusting.
there were many pictures of stuck jeeps but none of them were followed by an h2 trying the same spots. try watching this video, and learn a little about credibility: http://7slotgrille.com/multimedia/hu...ummervsxj.html
when youre done laughing, enjoy these:
http://7slotgrille.com/multimedia/hu...mmerssuck.html
http://7slotgrille.com/multimedia/hummers/deadh2.html
http://7slotgrille.com/multimedia/hummers/h2tr.wmv
and no trip down reality lane would be complete without the final authority on jeep vs. hummer as: http://7SlotGrille.com/hummer
this is just a small taste. i have video of stock jeep rubicons riding upper trail #2 at tellico. funny thing, ive _never_ seen an h2 at tellico. i wonder why that is?
certainly my response is intended as humorous. afterall, nobody could seriously believe that an h2 is anywhere near as capable as a short wheel base live axle jeep. :-)

sorry sweety.
I know only one thing about hummers..
noone in australia buys them to wheel. not that Ive seen anyway.
besides.. they look like a glorified jeep anyhow.
more power to you.. and your friends.. let the name calling begin.
I forgot to say.. good work on your forum..
but I guess you dont want to hear that from a troll..
Jeeps cop **** here all the time.. cause everyone owns a nissan or a toyota..
so dont get your panties too bunched up.. I know how you feel
|
No one in australia buys them to wheel.. Hmmm... Maybe, just maybe, because they are not widely available over there? Are HUMMERS brought in officially or do you have to go thru the gray market? I didn't see any hummers when i was there.
Everyone owns patrols & troopies? Are you sure? I do recall seeing many pajeros & defenders on & off roads...

And you should read all the responses because every issues have been addressed too many times. That's why you will also find many unrelated topics within because most of the veterans of this forum are bored with all the jeep trolls jumping in and doing the same thing again & again & again ...

7,
The video links that you just posted IS the reason I made this H2 Tribute Video.
By your reaction and negativity, I have achieved the result I was hoping.
Listen buddy,
The stuff I put in that video about the jeeps were in whole NOT TRUE. I'm sure you already know that. I just wanted you guys to feel the torment we've been going through this past 3 years.
The BS that's being flung around about us, it's only inevitable we would reach a breaking point.
Put yourself in our shoes and see the message.
On the internet we'll battle. Out on the trails, we should stick together.
Anyways, this thread has changed. Unless you have any sick BBQ pics, these guys won't be interested anymore.
Welcome to our HELL.

It is amazing how the threat of the Hummer to their wheeling kingdom will cause a Jeep site to dedicate all that space to bashing Hummers. Get a clue you idiot. You don't see that sh*t here. The only time the Jeep is bashed here is in response to trolls coming in and bashing Hummers. I feel so sorry for you that you feel so threatened by Hummers that you have to dedicate so much of your time bashing them. Maybe you should get a life and just go out and wheel with some. Maybe then you could let your narrow little scared mind wrap around the fact that the Hummer is an EXTREMELY capable vehicle and you can put you petty jealousy behind you

I am so tired of every critic of the H2 jumping on the tie rods being weak. Yes they suck, but you know what you can do... Replace them with better ones!!! I am a huge jeep fan and have owned several through the years. Having done this I know that the jeep is awesome off road, with serious modifications. They come from the factory with tires to small need replaced. (Usually first thing any jeeper does) This leads to a lift kit. Big tires usually overwhelm weak axles as I bent my Dana 35 first time off road(Replaced with Dana 44, always worried about Dana 30 in front) It will now need more power so switch those gears out next. Jeeps are great, they are like Harley Davidsons, no one wants to ride around on a stock one. Jeep created the Rubicon for the same reasons that I bought my H2. It comes to the buyer ready to go (Although tires are still too small and Dana 44s are far from being considered strong for anything larger then a 35 inch tire. Yes I love my H2 as it is a great package, combining capability and luxury. I also love jeeps for there capability and ease of modification. I was glad to see the people that actually read through this thread come to an understanding. Not better vehicles, just different.

Here's a marinade that's used by a local rest.:
Sugar
Sherry
Pineapple juice
Teriyaki
It's good if you like it sweet.
Myself, I just toss whatever I feel like into a ziplock and let it sit for a while.
GRILLS.
Thanks for the suggestion, Seth. Maybe a smoker in the future, too.

Close to mine but there are several secret ingredients I can't tell you about

Ziplocks are the best for marinading. I just have a little trouble finding the 2 gallon bags sometimes
