There's a product I just found out about to prevent undue compression, and rebound, on dirtbikes when towing/hauling. It's just a plastic brace that you slip up under the front fender, sitting on top of the tire between the forks. When you tighten the tie-down straps, this thing acts as a stop, so that your forks only compress slightly. A guy I know has been using one for a while on his hitch-mounted hauler, and swears by it. Time to get myself one.

Ray, I had a hard time finding it online, but here's the first website that popped up from Google. It's made by MSR, so if you don't like this site, search on "MSR fork support" to get more dealers.
