I do know that in most states in 2004, E10 only accounted for 10% of gas sales, so at least in 2004 all Regular was not E10. Either way in most states it must clearly labelled that you are getting E10 or any blend over 1% for that matter.

well up here, some pumps have "non-oxygenated gas" labels next to premium (oxygenated gas means ethanol or other additives, which i'm sure you know), and some pumps don't.
That and conversations lead me to believe that non-premium has ethanol.
Happy labor day, Phil & everybody.

Non oxygenated gas will obviously have a slightly better performance, around 2-3% as you stated, but that hardly makes up for the 10% difference in price.
The majority of us are offerred either all grades with something added, or all grades with nothing added, soit is kind of moot point anyway.

i have never seen premium for 10% higher price. typically a nickel, a dime at most, higher than other things (or about 2-3%).
Whatever the case, i can't imagine why anybody would care what gas another puts in his/her vehicle. ?

MTBE: in some states.
Bad for groundwater --- makes it easy for carcinogens like benzene to leach into the water supply.

Sounds like a good road trip. H2 is like riding first class for everyone, even the back seat.
