I started install I used a 45 deg fitting off compressor to a male with biger threads to female fitting to 90 deg to my hard hose.I have about 1/2 inch clearance to hood.I used the male that came with compressor on frame and mounted to factory bracket on frame I just have to add an adapter to it to hook up hard hose.I will finish tommorrow because it got dark.

I have a small thread fitting in 90 deg and 45 deg left ofer they except a small fitting like the male that comes with compessor. it might work for you (JP) last pic is of those fittings.

The 45 deg I used off compressor has a larger thead size on the one side to except the male fitting I used.

Ill post more tommorow.

Awesome fourtofour!
I'm glad that you finally got it installed!
I'll let you know if I need the 45 or 90 degree fittings. I must say that having on-board air is a great conveinence to have, I use mine quite a bit!

Finished up works great.
I used a rubber end to protect male fitting at frame. So not to lose it when airing up I used some strong dental floss attached a small button put a little silicone on the end, then I used a needle through tip from the unside and thread it through. Then tied it to bracket above.

Jp Its no trouble sending you those fittings I had to use 45 deg because I needed small thread on one side larger on other side. The ones I have are small and small it should work for your fittings.Im not sure if the 90 deg will work because of battery location.either way you can leave hose hooked up 24/7.

I also noticed I forgot to rotate housing for better venting. Then I thought it might be a good ideas to leave it with a vent on bottom to drain water if it gets wet.6 of one half dozen of the other.

I siliconed a washer(notice I painted hardware black) were the forth mounting hole would be and used a gromit that came with compressor(Note: you must push gromit up to lower notch for proper height)

Those look great guys. One question for fourfourto, You lost me with the shower cap. Is this just to keep it dry when going offroad? How long does it take to fill a tire? Thanks. (I guess thats two questions )

You guys could have saved alot of time by just buying an H2. They come from the factory with those things already installed .

I always do alot of research before making a purchase, if I can find a solid product and save a few bucks at the same time, I'm all for it! the stats that I have seen at various web sites depict a fairly slow air-up rate. I've timed how long it takes me to air up a 35" BFG Mud Terrain tire from 10 to 35 lbs. and, it's right around 2.5 minutes.

We only invested about $100.00 and 2 hours to install this on-board air system!
To get the compressor complete H2 style, an extra $30,000. DAMM-IT, WHY DID'NT I THINK OF THAT!

I've been following this thread and it is very cool. The installations seem to be done very well and look to be well thought out.

I am interested in the longevity of the fuse box cover and how it does holding the additional weight of the compressor. I'll have to check back with you guys in a few weeks.

Nice work guys!

With the large washers there shouldnt be a problem with the cover holding up.But when removing cover at below freezing you must be carefull not to brake the clips.Even without the compressor on it.It would be a good Idea to warm up engine before removing cover in the cold temperatures. The cover is only $18.50 at the dealer.

The compressor is only about 8 lbs and there is no need to remove cover from fuse box under normal conditions.
My last suv a 2004 nissan murano I never removed the fuse cover and I had it 2 years
