Most of the pics I've posted were taken in the morning of the first day on Wampum. I don't think that any of us had ever been on Wampum except for Scott.
Let me tell you now, it was a great trail. Tecnical, and esentially a rock garden from end to end. The big boulder that the Larsons are climbing up on in the pics above is basically the one thing of the two days that I did not want to try.
This cliff at the end is a pure vertical drop of about 2.5 to 3 feet
The H1 and H2 can come down off of it onto the trailer hitch w/o issues. The way the H3's rear end is set up, it would have come off the tires, onto the leaf springs and then into the muffler. Didn't seem like a good idea to me.
I guess that the others agreed with me as only Scott and the Larsons did it. She was making a ruckus here too!

Scott's H1 bumper would be good for surviving a frontal meteor impact.

One great thing about Mrs. Larson: Although she vocalized her anxieties, there was no place she was going to be when hubby went over the big obstacles except right there in the H2.

It was awesome. Several thing made it better for me than I could have hoped:
* One dry, dusty day - one day of driving in the 37 degree monsoon;
* Awesome spotting by Ipedog, OldHiker, Nmikes, Joe, Scott, and Larson;
* Scott's detailed knowledge of the trials, where to go, and when to go there.
* Extremely good company; and
* All you can eat prime rib, crab legs, good booze, etc on Friday night.

Can't recall the name. Someone else may know. Scott was a regular there. It's on the other side of Paragon from Hazleton. I asked the waitress what kind of decent wine they had. She said, "well, we have some white, and I think something red." Right before I aborted and ordered something else, the owner brought out a really nice Italian Chianti.

Not sure if he's talking about his vehicle there.
That reminds me: by lunch on the first day, OldHiker's red aftermarket skid plate, which had been installed improperly by someone else, had lost the bolts on the rear and was hanging down. Larson swooped in an offered some extra bolts and they made it functional in no time.
Pops: Did you get it reinstalled correctly yet with the plate mounts on top of the cage mounts?
