I'm not sure the exclusion was meant anyway, but nearly 300,000 Americans died in WWII and 52,000 of them were in the Pacific. By comparison, a total of about 60,000 British troops died in all of WWII. The U.S. casualties was a tenth of that number in one day, D-Day.

While none of that is anything to be proud of, the U.S. did come to the aid of it's Allies and sacrificed many single individual soldier's lives to stop the Germans.

Of course, one could go on and on about the thousands of Merchant Marines that died before the U.S. entered the war while ferrying supplies and equipment over to Europe to aid in the effort. This from an infant country that had already been there, done that.

So, frankly, I am saying that Hummer Geek's one statement is simply true, but it does not discount other countries' involvement either. The same could be said about the British, because without her soldiers it would be a different story also.

What a load of crap! They aren't playing beach volleyball over there, they're fighting a war. And not only that, they are fighting an enemy who is merciless and inhuman when it comes to slaughtering innocents. Sh*t happens in war. . .lots of bad things. . .that's why war is something to be avoided if possible. But when it becomes necessary, it should be prosecuted violently and effectively with maximum effort to protect our troops.

You live in Prague? Unless you are dumber than than dirt, you should understand that freedom isn't free. . .and when the price for freedom is paid, whether in Europe or the Middle East or wherever, it's usually those US troops you are disparaging that pay that price.

Well put Paragon. I don't chime in to the forum often but when I saw the picture of the H1 upside down, so I'm thinking, damn, my first reaction was "God Bless Our Troops". Some of our guys are driving along and boom--their gone (not in that photo but in many roadside bombings). I've got friends and family serving in Iraq so I reacted hastly to Eldar2K's remarks.

1. When was the last time Sweden was in war? About 200 years ago...

2. Sweden is the most liberal country in the world with fruitcakes (and this is a fact) running the "army". Well how did they help Finns when we got into the war with russians, by russians? none what so ever. Thanks bros! If was to me, we would take over you faqs and put down your faqqy royal family worth crap... and all you would be doing is whining about UN! And to be honest, it wouldn't be diffucult at all

3. If you compare just basic decision process in Swedish culture, it is like a freaking nut house compared to anything you have ever seen on this planet. In every negotiation ALL the people have to agree before decision can be made. If UN worked that way, we wouldn't still have the aid at the chrisis zones like Zunami in Thailand or earthquake area in Paskistan. I hope you little whiners understand that world will always have a major power. Yes, it will be chritizied, some for reason some for not. Would you little swedish meatball rather have the chinese or russians run the world instead??? Think about it!

4. Again, I have an oppinion about Iraq (I support US in there), but hell, everybody is entitled to their opinion. But why do these socialistic Europens think that being nice to everybody will cause everybody to be nice back. That is so freaking blind!!! Do you Swedes and Polacs believe that if we just had left Saddam to be, that country would be better off? I know innocent people die, but dude if you ever have been in army (I have, and I know mr. swede will say he too, but swedish army is like a AA meeting talk talk and talk, but no walk.) these things happen. I'd like to see how you react when you live in fear for your life every day?
