Re: LIFTED HUMMERS THREAD!!
Thanks for the props guys!!!!!!
and yes, my truck would look GREAT right next to that blacked out Camaro... I would like to black out my Roush but it sits pretty as it is and I honestly don't wanna spend more money on it since it's paid off... so whatevs. I'll save that since i'm buying a new 5.0 GT next year and blacking that out so I'll have the 3 black brothers. HA!!

Paid off or not, I'd still splurge for a BBK. Otherwise sick!

Doesn't really look like it needs another 10 hp

...but I do think that the Roushs are out of balance...there needs to be at least one more Roush on the right side somewhere. I don't know if that will get you any more HP but it will definitely help identify what package is on your 'stang.
Found this on ebay...maybe stick one on the CAI:
Just jokes...nice ride.

Re: LIFTED HUMMERS THREAD!!
Just to throw in some more sass on the lifting discussion... if you are going to lift, I suggest you go with the 6". What happens is you decide to go not so big, just enough to get tire clearance. This is what I did the first time, think I went with the skyjacker 5.5". Anyway, I was getting a little rubbing from the 37's, not much though. Over time, you keep looking at it and you think it could be a little meaner, a little more tougher, so you start thinking bigger wheels, bigger tires, etc. What happens is you end up switching things up and running out of space- lift is maxed, keys are torqued, and there is no more room. You are already in it to deep to drop everything and throw on a bigger lift.
6" is perfect, lets you get up to 40's minimal rubbing and it really looks the best in my opinion. Really balances the size of the truck with the wheels under it without making it look like a redneck monster truck. It's a good look though, looks even better if you drop the side steps. I really wanted to go with Bimmer's 24x40 look, but that was costing an extra few thousand to go that route over my current one, so I stuck with the 20's. Either way, from my experience it is just better to give yourself some breathing room and go with a 6" from the start. Trust me, if you go lower than that, you will pay for it over time second guessing and changing stuff up to get closer to that look. I know I still am.
By the way, nice cars guys! My marriage cut me short of the black on black sports car; was really looking to get into a black on black Lotus Evora. Guess I can only hope for that promotion at work.

I saw in your earlier pics that you changed to a rancho? Are you still running the rancho with the 40's?

Re: LIFTED HUMMERS THREAD!!
Nope, still on the skyjacker. They used some rancho parts to accomodate the lift to my vehicle, but I'm still on the 5-1/2".
Really wish I went with the 6" though, seen a lot of them and they just seem like they look so much better.

Re: LIFTED HUMMERS THREAD!!
I parked next to a H2 with a Febtech lift when I was just on my Rancho and we were level. Granted I don't have a spare tire on the back so my torsions were probably cranked a lil more to level it then a SUV or SUT with a spare...

When you did that, did you have your bodylift installed?
Speaking of body lifts, did you install it or have the company that made them for you install it?
I’m going to be ready for new tires soon and 40’s would be a perfect fit. I have 37’s or 38’s on there now and I could probably go another 1-2” more. I’d say 39’s (if there was such a thing) would be perfect.
Lemme know...

Re: LIFTED HUMMERS THREAD!!
@ Mark
Before my body lift.
The 40's fit with my Rancho kit and Truxxx leveling kit and rear spacer. I run 24x12 Rockstars and they rubbed turning. I didn't want to trim in fear of hacking up the wells, I ended up trimming just 2" off the bottom. If you do run the keys I would highly recommend the Cognito upper A arms, (which you already have) to make it easier to align and correct the angles. If memory serves me correctly Mark you are running a 20x10 XD wheel. I think your rubbing would be very minor if you went 40's (with the Truxxx keys and spacers). I remember you upgraded from the 35" Mickey Thompsons to 37" Toyos. I just like a lot of wheel well gap so it doesn't look stuffed, so I did the 2" BL and have articulation room when pulling up an incline while turning since I run such a wide wheel.
I had Rides of Conover NC to it. Speak to Brandon if you want it done, they said they wouldn't bother buying a complete 03-05' 2500 HD kit since most of the kit is not used. Just buy the pucks and bolts. The steering extension that came with my kit was installed, but they said wasn't necessary on a 2" BL. The rear hitch and bumper assembly was raised with 2" stock, I played with it to make it perfect, but they did a great job overall.

Re: LIFTED HUMMERS THREAD!!
I LOVE the stance of your truck. The gapping and spacing is perfect. Since power isn't an issue for me, I'm not worried about a taller tire an having less gear ratio. (of course, 4.56 gears don't hurt either...lol)
I'll be picking your brain soon enough, I'll give Brandon a call.
