if you're coming up for the mckinney/rubicon run, i'd say forest/jungle camo is required. but if the next time i see you is moab, desert camo is definitely the way to go.
people are gonna start to talk if this stuff continues . . .

Re: PISMO BEACH 06/24/06
It was great to see everyone and the night trip was pretty surrealistic. It felt just like the videos you saw of the Gulf War when they were caravanning through the dust storms. That sand was SOFT! Pismo is a nut house during the weekend. That was an insane scene that night. My wife even saw a streaker (missed the young stud didnthca Humbebe!? People were actually camped down to the surf line with water being splashed on their campers, trucks, and other gear. The creek crossing was pretty deep and at high tide, a wave came in right when we went through behind one of the H1s. I have no idea how deep it was on our H3 but it was splashing up as high as their rear bumper. I think we all disappointed the gawkers that were lined up at the creek crossing because as far as I know, no one stalled or got stuck. We had the lowest vehicle there, stock Adventure H3 and if we made it, everyone made it.
I wish we could've made it during the day but stuff happens, by the way, the pooch is fine.

What a neat rig but as memory serves me, on the night run, you couldn't be goaded into jumping your slantback! (don't worry though, ain't no way I'm jumpin' ANYTHING factory like that guy was flogging his old blue!) I'm impressed as could be by H1s, alas, as I do plan on retiring early, it's just not meant to be!
Humbebe, Laurie says not to worry, the streaker wasn't impressive! (gee, I don't quite know whether or not to feel like a manly man now or not!) You've got me eager to keep my eyes open for wrecked ZR2s now!
At any rate, I do wish we got some creek crossing pictures, that would've been great.
I washed the krap out of the H3 and I'm still getting sand out!
NeoCon, did you get to look up the Dusy Ershim trail? I'm dyin' to do that thing. Even if we can't, you could come up and run the Sherman Pass jeep trail. It's a small, pretty easy but beautiful run.

Re: PISMO BEACH 06/24/06
Looks like you guys had a blast. I am dying to go on a trip with you guys. I didn't make it to Moab becuase I had to have surgery and was sitll recovering. My wife, a nurse, was on call all weekend so no Pismo.
I will be free on July 8th weekend-Hummbebe Neocon, TGL (and others I forgot to mention) you guys seem to know how to have a good time, hook me up with a rocking July 8th weekend, please.
