Buckeye, I don't sell anything at the moment. I have about 20 or so website I run just for fun.

When I'm ready I'll be opening up http://www.redreefscuba.com/ But that's a ways off.

I've heard that the google ad program is very nice.

You can buy the word Kleenex if you have a tissue company OTHER than Kleenex.

Or for example Green Peace or the Sierra Club could by the word Hummer.

There are some law suits out right now about Google's ad program. Seems like pure genious to me.

The site is a Humor type site... Or was.... But you'd have to understand heavy technical humor to get it.

I haven't heard about suits with trademarked names but it makes sense. We just use specific keywords relating to the foods we sell.

Adwords conversion=1.6%@$56 sale
Content Conversion=1.3%@$133 sale

Content is when the link is attached to a relevant news article, in effect, prepping the consumer for the purchase, ergo the larger average sale.

I still highly recommend GoToast software to manage all PPC search engines.

Sure, makes sense to me unless it's a vendor that is selling the trademarks products. The mfg. should be happy that they are marketing for them, but it sounds like what is happening is competitors or unrelated sites are using trademarks to generate traffic (not good).

A few months back a competitor bought the plural version of my URL. I couldn't believe it. It took 2 days to send the cease and desist letter to have them take it down.
