Why did you buy an H3?
Does the Horsepower really do suck??

First off, howdy to all, I'm new to these forums. I'v been very active in many off road forums for many years, but now that we have an H3, it brought me here.
Now, for the answer to the question.
My wife was the first to show an interest in the H3. Before she did, I have to admitt that as an off roader, that I, along with many others, pretty much scoffed at the sight of any hummer. But, wanting to make her happy, I figured I'd give the little H3 an honest chance at being her next vehicle. I was quickly impressed by it. I think the quality of the vehicle is as good as any in it's class. But the Adventure package sold the vehicle to us. True we can get other brands that have a 4:1 t case, and a locker etc. But this is the one my wife was interested in, and the one that suits our needs. After getting it, I quickly found that I really enjoy it. It gets great mpg, the under power that everyone mentions is a bit of fluff, in my opinion. True it's no vette, but for a daily driver it gets around fine. I think the H3 is the most capable of the three, right out of the box, at least at this point and time. That could change at another date, but I'm talking about now.
You are correct that the H3 can't be compared to your H2. See, the reason being that in my case, mine has the 4:1 t case, that yours lacks, and is much more capable, and nimble for wheeling.. all at a much less out of pocket cost, for the vehicle, and gas as well. So, to me, it was the better choice. Your needs are probably different, and therefore, don't parallel mine.
Not to sound too biased, but I would never even think of getting an H2. Don't get me wrong, I think they're OK, for those who like them. I'm just not interested in owning one.
My wifes H3 does not have to serve as a big time wheeler anyway, but seeing as how we never own anything that isn't 4wd, I still like them to be somewhat capable. For the really rough stuff, it's trail rig only for us.

You know I just was curious, but...........Never mind, I'll go back to the H2 forum...

Listen here A-hole, I could purchase a whole fleet of H1'S If I wanted to
But when it comes right down to it, the H3 is far better looking, better fuel economy, more comfortable interrior, shorter turning radious, and as far as I have seen, a better off-road vevicle, all in all just a better vehicle!
The only reason you started this thread is to stir up the H3 crowd!
Now I really don't have anything aginst any Hummer vehicle/owner, and of course you are more than welcome to hang out at the H3 discussion forums but, I believe that you need to do a little research on the H3 yourself, and then you would come to the same conclusion as the rest of the H3 owners. I WANT ONE!

Re: Why H3?
The other day while I was out and about, I was approached by a H3 owner. He mentioned that he really loves the H2. Why I asked, because it’s Big, aggressive and just plain cool looking. (All this from a H3 owner) I asked what you like about your H3. *still laughing about it* ...he responded by saying.....this piece of *&^%&* is my wife’s, she wanted it......its too small, too slow and just too plain boring!

Re: Why H3?
While I think everyone is entitled to their opinions, I can see now that you are here just to antagonize H3 owners.
Let me ask that you get the hell off the H3 board, oh and...

Re: Why H3?
Sorry, but that never happened. It was all your imagination. You're a disgrace to all Hummer owners. Go ahead, keep hating on Hummers...it makes you look cool, moron. Maybe you should consider joining a lefty treehugger group so you'll have friends to hate on Hummers with, because you won't find any here.
Now, as I said before.

Get over yourself, congratulations on owning an h2, the h3'rs are happy; go bother the h1'rs or find another forum of people to convert for whatever motive it is you have for getting more people to purchase h2s.

Re: Why H3?
One more thing, you bought a used 04 H2.. in late 2006. It probably cost less or the same as a new H3 and you argue that we couldn't afford an H2? You own somebody elses H2, you have nothing up on anybody here. Why didn't you buy a new h2, are you poor or something?

Re: Why H3?
Maybe only because they wanted to. Just like I wanted an H2 they want an H3. It is there choice so you shouldn't knock them. Some people hate the H2 and but Escalades. That's there preference. Mine is the H2 for me, and would like to see the wife get the H3
