Re: LIFTED HUMMERS THREAD!!
I personally think the 13.50's would look better than the 12.50's in 37's. Perfect height to width

Fabtech's website lists the correct backspacing needed for their kits. I understand you're not using Fabtech's kit, but it might give you an idea of what to look for. Again, everyone is looking at offset only, and I understand it's what wheel manufacturers list, but we should be looking at backspacing AND offset. If you find a wheel you like, call and get the specs. A 10-20 minute phone call can save a lot of hunting around and headaches later...
There is also a tech article on another website (don't think I'm allowed to post it here) that describes the requirements for the Fabtech lift. PM me and I'll direct you there.
I keep thinking of things to add. When I purchased my truck, the previous owner had 37's with 22" wheels, and they rubbed. I changed to 38's on a 20" wheel, and avoided rubbing my sways by changing to a correct backspacing. I also lifted my truck a bit more, but that has nothing to do with the sway bar issue.

Re: LIFTED HUMMERS THREAD!!
Fabtech pushes the front wheels out further than the Rancho. Just call em they are very helpful. Rancho Suspension: Contact Phone Number - 1 734 384 7804.

Re: LIFTED HUMMERS THREAD!!
i had already talked ot rancho. they just said they tested their kit with a 5" backspacing on a 17x10 wheel with 37x12.5 tires. my new wheels are 20x10 with a 4.5" backspacing, so i should be good. ive also decided to go with a 38x13.50 toyo open country MT tire. with the amount of backspacing i have, i shouldnt have a problem with rubbing.

Re: LIFTED HUMMERS THREAD!!
I may be selling my Toyo 38's on KMC Hoss 20's and stepping up to 40's (damn Bimmer...). Interested? Or did you already place an order?

Re: LIFTED HUMMERS THREAD!!
Not only hours of headaches but thousands of dollars of wasted money.
....cause we've all wasted a bunch of money trying different stuff only to find out it didnt fit or look as good as we thought it would, right???
Right?

Right.
I'll have to post some pictures when I get home. Not sure if I have any updated ones, though.

Re: LIFTED HUMMERS THREAD!!
i had a escalade before my hummer. went through 4 sets of wheels on that. with my camaro, this is my 2nd set of wheels in less than 2 years..... its addicting. after i do the lift on the hummer, not only did i just buy new wheels for 38's, but ill have to buy new wheels to run in the winter since the stock wheels wont fit with the rancho lift.......i love spending money. lol

Re: LIFTED HUMMERS THREAD!!
Just wanted to clarify some mis-information I posted earlier. I was correct on backspacing being measured from the inner lip/back of the wheel to the hub. But offset is measured from the center of the wheel, NOT the hub, to the outter lip/front of the wheel. Essentially, the dead center of the wheel is a 0 offset, and a -12 offset moves the hub closer to the inner lip/back of the wheel. A +12 offset would move the hub closer to the outter lip/front of the wheel. Hope I cleared up any confusion I caused. And I didn't want to look like an idiot.
*By "hub" I'm referring to the part of the wheel where the lug nuts go, not the hub on the truck.
