I've been letting mine rot outside since 2 weeks after I got it.

I know I'm probably getting a lift. If not, I'm definately getting a roof rack. Either way my garage won't work.

I'd love a 2" lift on 37" 13.5 with a 4.5 backspaced rim. That would totally kick ass!

However, I'm willing to pony up to the 4"er if I ever get the cash.

You here me RANCHO!!! WE WANT A 2"ER!!!!!

I thought you had a little lift or is that just a bigger tire?

Steve has a stronger cage underneath that Billy built. It adds weight but it far more crush proof so you can drag over just about anything and stay low.

This was a pretty good ledge. The H2 really does well on them.

If I remember correctly, we saw H2's on the Con before they went on the Market, so GM fully intended them to be capable of running a difficult trail.

It's kinda funny how untill you actuly run a tri; like the con, you don't think you need the rock sliders and additional skid plates on a wheeler. They make the differenace fo sho on the body damage.

What will be real interesting is with all the H2's selling so well, down the road when they are plentiful as used, I bet we'll see some some bad assed "Beater" H2 Trail rigs. I'm not talking about the show lift chromed out mall cruisers either.

Billy is Steve's buddy who has an off road shop and a wacked out Humvee. Steve can post a pic but they actually look exactly like the old cage but different material.

He built some really nice side rails too that I believe to be a "must have" for what you're doing. They will make you almost drag proof.

5spd,
I think we're going to make another run at it next summer. But you never know, we might get inspired and have to do it sooner.
I'll definitely have a beefed up undercarriage next time. I'm going to start planning how to fortify things under the H2 next week. I'll try to post pics as I go.

It'd be great to get a bunch of guys to go, with all kinds of rigs.

A little rock garden next to the boulders. Had to keep an eye on the trees while leaning back & forth.

OK, now that's a better pic. The first one was very deceiving and I'm sure the rock on the driver's right is larger than it looks but is dwarfed by the wall on your left. Explain now what is in front of you because that looks like an even bigger obstacle?

There's another source of pics on that tape, and I'll have them soon.
