Holy moly, brudda, I was just kidding.
I'm thinking I might go to bed early. Big day tomorrow and need to be sharp as a tack. Night!

Good point, Not Sean. Thanks.
Now I'm wondering how smart it is to paint a used-in-the-desert gas can black ... could make for an interesting solar collector.

I don't remember where on the web I found those medallions - but I'll find it again and let you know. That's the USA eagle on the left and the German eagle on the right.
I'm not sure if you ARE being nice to me. Are you talking about giving me one of your old shirts that reeks of deodorant, trail dust and too many nights at the Bun Boy Motel? Thanks a lot.

Most likely... Though its a little early for the good stuff to pass on through, lot of unusual types nest in the Joshua Trees and surrounding habitat.
Little background info, Got a biology degree from Univ. of Oregon, love nature, and tried at one time to become an independent birding/nature guide in Southern California.
Last time I was up that way, I saw a red fox (no not Redd Foxx) in broad daylight which was pretty cool.
Might see desert tortoise, tarantula, prob. too early/cold for snakes and for sure coyotes... </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
AND BIGHORN SHEEP!!! NO KIDDING! They are all over Afton Canyon - I've seen 'em several times. They are so good on those rocks they make our Hummers look like a Jeep!

For those coming in an H2, I highly recommend magnetic shields! There are one or two places on the "road" where some thick scrub and Joshua trees can do a lovely desert pinstriping without them.
If you don't have shields, don't sweat it - they'll buff out, and chicks dig scars.
