Here is a shot of the wall that is a close call for some vehicles. DRTYFN only had shots after he was out of it, I think even in my truck you can see nothing but a granite wall for 30' or so.DRTYFN I know you had to be alot closer than this more than likely right?

I was within inches. If I would have folded my mirrors out they would have hit the wall. And going up it was dark by the time we got there. The rocks were really dusty and slippery and I hate leaning! Very high puker factor for me. I'm still making dogs bark for miles when I fart.

The pic is deceiving. What is to the driver's right that takes you so close to the wall? Any more pics with the other side in view?

Look at page 2 , pics 3 & 4 of this post. Pic 3 shows the rock ledge that leans you into the wall. Pic 4 gives a better look at the depressions at the bottom of the wall that add to the puckering experience by dropping your nearest tire at the same time your opposite tire is getting boosted upward.
And again, pictures don't do it justice.

Maybe this will help on how it tips you to the drivers side into the wall within inches. See how the boulders are angled and higer up on that side, they just tip you into the wall.

Wow!! It looks like a two lane road with your rig in there. It looks like you've got 2-3' of space. I think I might have had 3-4".
Damn you narrow shouldered rigs!! Now I see how fat chicks feel when they stand next to skinny chicks.

OK, now that's a better pic. The first one was very deceiving and I'm sure the rock on the driver's right is larger than it looks but is dwarfed by the wall on your left. Explain now what is in front of you because that looks like an even bigger obstacle?

OK, Now in front of the truck is a good step, if I recall its about 10" or bigger, and of course its slanted into the wall, its flat across the top but still good enough to tip all vehicles to the drivers side. I dont have a pic from farther back to show it though. I am glad for being thin, but still have enough rock rash from those unseens or "ah crap" I didnt look as close as I should of....hahaha

Drtyfn...
very nice pics!!!!!!!
I would love to go and wheel in the Rubi. I put a dent in my driver’s side door similar to yours. I agree that the H2 could use a beefed up underbody.
I love to wheel a lot and find my underbody taking a beating. I would love to see your new solution.
I take back the unsubstantiated comments I made about you in the other forum.
You are the REAL THING. Maybe we can hook up in the Rubi sometime.
PS I am part of the National Club and have attended these events without any damage.

I have been wheeling my truck for over a year and have not broken a tie-rod but, broke a front diff and a half-shaft. Wish I had pics
Good luck on your next trip.

R2,
No problem, we're cool. Sorry I jumped the gun on you, too. I was going to PT you, but this is better.
I'm going to be working on a few upgrades for the H2 in the VERY near future. I'll post pics as they're completed.
Also, I just got my buddy's video footage of our trip to the Rubi' so I'll have more stills soon. Plus, I'll finally start putting together a video. I'm just finishing one from a Hummer happening we just had out here. Total Mud-fest!!!
