the tow rating has nothing to do with legalities, sport.
Besides, I ordered my H2 before there were any brochures available. Care to try again?
BTW, my opinion on what belongs where?

Got ya. There's a bunch of guys here that are great with that stuff, I'm not one of them, that I'm sure would appreciate that info.
Our problem, a well documented one, is the front end. A few of us have solutions that don't involve a SAS, but it's a matter of actually getting it done.

... tow ratings ARE THE LEGALITY! that is why a honda shouldn't pull a horse trailer. it has to be able to stop it, and the trailer brakes are NOT enough to accomplish this. the tow ratings are an engineered rating of what a veichle can safely tow, this takes into account stopping times, time to get it up to speed, springs, axle, tranny, engine combinations. call your local dept. of transport and ask.
as for your opinion, don't you have indoor plumbing down there or do i need to spell it for you?
sas is always a valid option, but not always feasable due to the motor veichle act, however, with a machine shop anything cam be made to work, for example, you could replace the 1/2 ton cv's with 1 ton's.

Any of you turds actually wheeled with a H2 or H3 or any modern vehicle for that matter.
We don't seem to have the hangups that you punks do and get out and wheel with all types. The last even I went to was a Land Cruiser event, but I'm sure you all have plenty to say about them as well.

I don't have to. Tow ratings are not a legal issue outside of a civil lawsuit, in most states in the US there is no provision for exceeding a vehicle GCVWR on a private vehicle unless you break 26K lbs.

Thanx Jimmay.
Cool vids from what I saw, but those rigs just make some of that look rough. The bouncing and jostling of smaller/lighter/tippy garage rigs do that. The H2 is so heavy it just trots through gracefully- we ford pretty deep too, so we don't get the mud puddle dramatics.

.....and we don't have to trailer our rigs.....
If I wanted a trailer rig I would build up a UNIMOG, not a rusted out WWII leftover beer can!

Cool vids. You guys really use your home built rigs.
out of curiousity: how much $hit do you guys break when doing that stuff? I don't mean this as a slam. I really want to know. some of us do wheel our rigs. Only a couple that I know of have pushed their HUMMERS through some nasty stuff like you have posted, and than drove home.

tell that one to the dot. once you exceed 10k lbs you need a new liscense first off. you can be held accountable in the event of an accident, which is a civil issue, granted. but you can be forced to leave your rigging on the side of the road and pay the tow bill to get it out of there, that is... IF it's still there once you return. yes, it has happened. don't even give me that.
yes, i have wheeled with an h2... wasn't impressed. first hole in the road it sank out of site... held up the rest of us. later on at the anual mud bog at postil, he made an ass of himself and sunk his h2, and his ford 350 SD diesel on 44's. and yes, it was his daddy's money, so he didnt care. as far as trotting gracefully... it's moss in most of the vids... trotting don't cut it. the weight hurts you badly, toys and zuks alike.
you say it has deep water fording abilities... but the website claims a mere 20 inches... i assume due to diff breathers? other then that, where does the water become an issue to ignition, intake, or comming in the doors?
new nuff for ya?

If you watched the mainland cup one none of the toyotas broke that whole weekend and we dont usually break much. Most of the hopping was due to leaf springs ( axle wrap ) and most of the rigs are driven to and from the trails. Of course the buggys are trailerd Its more fun when you dont have to worry about driving it home .

Re: H2 vs JEEP End all showdown in MOAB VIDEO!
when it goes home on a trailer, who cares what it looks like!
me, i hate backing up and trying a different line, i'd sooner put the slider against a tree and let it hammer around. mind you... that's how i snapped a t-case, cage wedged against the tree, tried to pivot, didn't work so well.

I would consider clicking on the links you posted, but considering you cannot spell the word SURE correctly they are only bound to lower my I.Q to that of your level.

What kills me is that we could have 10 of those- maybe 3 fuggtastic ones and choose just one that is like nothing else. They still don't understand.

Re: H2 vs JEEP End all showdown in MOAB VIDEO!
hell if you can find a doka, and re power it with a 350 or else find a diesel, it'd be kinda fun.
if i really wanted to i could have a few of these things, and i'm only 22. but as it sits i'll keep my 01 dodge diesel, 95 f-150 on 33's, and 82 **** box i call suzuki on 35's... what's your point?..

What's yours?
I'm 6 years older than you- maybe your toys will grow up with you. You could get just as much fun out of an ATV as you do with those. But, If you like working in the garage and gettin all "Johnny number 5" with your stuff then have a ball.
You are getting all worked up over an old joke and it brings the funnay.
