DAMN!! I got the dreaded wet floor!!
Welp, ive read about it numerous times, and it finally got me. My passenger floor board is soaking ass wet. Who knows how long its been leaking.
I guess tomorrow will be a nice day full of searching for leaks and drying out my carpet. I guess I will start with the marker lights, then on to the sun roof drain. Anything else I should check? I RTV'd the **** out of the tinted markers when I installed them, but I did it aorund the light. I just read that you need to do it underneath where the grommet is. I wish I would have read that two months ago.
This sucks!

Re: DAMN!! I got the dreaded wet floor!!
yeah, I have the recon lights as well. I put rtv all around the base of them, kinda pisses me off. Im thinking about putting the stock ones back on to be honest with you.

Re: DAMN!! I got the dreaded wet floor!!
I had a small leak In the back from the lights above the rear window. Just took it in to he dealership and they replaced the light under warranty. Is yours leaking from the front lights?

Re: DAMN!! I got the dreaded wet floor!!
IM not sure yet, I havent had time to look. Im going out in the am with a hsoe to find out. It looks like it might have ran down the passenger side a pillar, so im assuming from the lights.

Re: DAMN!! I got the dreaded wet floor!!
The door seals on my 04 had shrunk and were letting water in at the top of the frame. The corners were pulled away. I pulled them all the way off, glued them back on w/ the gm sealant in the black tube. I left the extra gap left in the bottom of the door seal since I'm not regularly driving in water up to the sill plate.
I just put a sprinkler on the gobi and sat in the truck w/ the panels off waiting for the water. Only took me about 5 minutes.
Whats real scarry is if your is leaking on the drivers side, if the carpet is wet- all that water runs into the channel under the door sill plate. Thats where the factory harness runs. I had so much water in there during the winter, it froze solid and actually pushed up the sill plate. Factory harness, plus all the wires I ran were enclosed in this block of ice.

Re: DAMN!! I got the dreaded wet floor!!
I had the water on the carpet issue after being parked in a big thunderstorm and the water was getting under the roof marker lights. Took it to the dealer and they siliconed under all of them under warranty - no problems since then.

Re: DAMN!! I got the dreaded wet floor!!
Hi check the 3 center marker lights gaskets. Also the rubber grommets under the 2 outer marker lights i think where most leak because they are in the channel/gutter on the roof.

Re: DAMN!! I got the dreaded wet floor!!
Hmmm, I was out there with a hose in this cold ass weather, and I didnt have any luck. I ran it over the 3 middle marker lights, and in the channel where the large outside light is. I can see and hear the water running down the outside door sill, but the weather strip between the door and the inside keeps it out. I also took off the outside larger light and the grommet is sealed up fromt he previous owner where they ran the XM radio antenna wire through it. I ran the hose directly over that too, nothing leaked inside the truck. The windhiels moulding is up a little bit for about 5" on the passenger side, ran water there too.....nothing.
Im going to pull the oh **** handle off later on and pull the head liner down a bit to see if I notice any water coming in up top. You can defintiely see water marks in the kick panel area like water has been streaming down from the A Pillar area.
This sucks.....this is almost as bad as looking for an electrical issue!

Re: DAMN!! I got the dreaded wet floor!!
Try this method. Start the truck and with all windows closed and the blower motor on high spray soapy water around any suspect areas on outside and look for bubbles
