Anybody gonna change plans because of the gas prices? I just drove 2000 miles last week and averaged $70 to $80 per fill up! Gas companies are making a killing off us right now....

I've been paying nearly $100US ($130CAN) since last year.
What's the problem?

When I am at the gas station and get the typical "Ill bet that gas is getting expensive" My favorite response has been "I hope it gets up to 5 dollars a gallon to get some of these ass**** drivers off the road. I'll pay just for the convienance factor". You should see the look on their faces. Ive gotten to use it twice now.

$1.26 But that's for the 94 Premium Octane.
And worth every penny.

gosh.. I have no idea what my neighbor pays? I know when I run low on gas, I goto his house with a hose and fill up my tank. I only do it at night. Give it a try. Make sure it's someone you don't like...

Just put 30 gal in the boat for $86 bucks, (holds 70)) and burned 1/2 of it today. Burned another 1/2 tank in the 2, (towed a Heavier boat this time) for the 80 mile round trip (test loop!, worm Drowning party) .
What Am I Gonna Do?---Same f-ing thing tomorrow!
Except!, H2 will not yank the boat anymore!--Gas guzzlin, small blocked, underpowered, Heavy, good looking, constantly shifting, good looking, Very stinky brakes (little fade) @ the bottom ! , damn fine looking outfit! But Sadly, Boat is to much of a Bully for the 2. Guess it's time to trade it in!--SUT for looks!, or Alfa for work!--might be a Dilema! --since I already have a good tow rig!

No big change of plans here. We were thinking of driving down to Corpus for a weekend, but the heat is more of a deterrent than the gas!
Actually, I've been driving my H2 MORE since the gas prices went up. Was driving the Slade for daily errands (it gets about 17 MPG), but now that the prices are up, I want to stick it in everyone's face that I drive a guzzler.

Although the gallon price is a factor, my problem isn't the dollar per gallon. Its the fill up every other day thing that makes it fun. 52K miles on a '05 is allota driving.
BUT:
Say it with me: "Self employed". Translated, that means that whatever I burn in fuel is a tax write off....so....might as well do it in a vehicle I love.
Isn't a hybrid something that makes my grass stronger against grub worms?

Well, I'm moving out west (not because of gas prices ) where biodiesel is pretty common, so I might think about getting an H1 diesel, and even though the MPG is less, B50 is $2.15 in Denver... I can't do anything to change what I pay with a gas engine, but diesel affords some more options...

Makes no difference here. Last year driving to and from Moab we had to use Premium. That was around $3.30 a gallon then.
