Default driver side power seat probrem help!

it happend like this,
i had my seat set for easy exit mode.
so when i got out the car, seat automatically went down to its lowest and stoped.
but one day, seat automatically went down to its lowest as usual but the motor didnt stop and kept making "little louder than before" winding noise.

now its staying at lowest and doesnt move up and down at all.
when i hit the switch up or down, i can hear same motor winding noise.
every other directions work fine.

anyone has any idea?

Ghosts in the machine.

Those stupid seats are probably the number one interior complaint.

I just had a problem a bit like this. I went away by itself ??

Not a lot of help I know

I had the same problem with the seat back adjust. Also heard the motor or relay giving a "not normal" noise and nothing happend.

Took the door panel apart and cleaned it (for another reason "water"), but that solved the problem, or the problem solved itself at the same time

Rene
