Re: Afternoon trip
The snow was deeper in a few places, but I couldn't stop to take pictures.

Re: Afternoon trip
Yeah! Let me know next time, I am always up for some wheeling.
I heard that the Barlow Road trail was fairly easy, was the snow drifts the most challenging part?

Yes, the drifts were fun, but I just wanted to check campsites.
The trail is a fun drive. The road is easy, but it's beautiful! From Hwy 35 you head south along a creek thru some really old growth timber and meadows. Then it levels out for a while in a place where the forest floor is mostly sand, crosses White River and continues on a Southeasterly course toward Wamic. It's kept open only for licensed vehicles, no motorcycles or atv's allowed. It's a sandy, narrow road so they think that keeping only large vehicles on it will help keep it from eroding too much. At least that's what the forest service guy told me.
