I didn't look at the schematic but obviously there has to be some sort of "switch" to know to shut the DRL's off when in park.

Having said that, I'm going to say one of two things.

1) The linkage is somehow out of whack and it can't tell if it's in park or in Drive.

2) The "switch" itself is bad.

Hope you find it, let us know.

It may be the relay, have you checked it yet?

Take it out and tap it a few times, sometimes they stick.

Whel I did the DRL mod, mine began to stick and eventually had to replace it.

Joe,

That's a good point. I forgot about the relays. (too obvious I guess...lol)

Since there usually is one just like it next to it, pull it out and try it.

It must have had something to do with not having the key fobs. Once they were programmed the drl works fine.

You also do not need a tech two scanner to program them. Some dealers insist on it for the extra $$$$.

Yeah they try to rip you off for programming. I bought an extra one on Ebay and the seller provided instructions on doing it yourself. Saved me time and money.

When soneone comes into my shop to have them programmed damn rights im gonna charge them. Just like everyone else who goes to work every day expects to get paid. If they are too lazy to open their owners manual i have no problem charging for a service i provide. When your flat rate and dont charge the customer you simply dont get paid for your time and i have bills just like everyone else
