Doesn't anybody have any ideas or experience with lift kits?
Can anyone give me an idea of what lift kit to get? I have seen Tucc COuntry and Rancho. I read not to get the Rancho and have not heard anything on the Tuff Country. I have seen the Rough Country but the said on the phone that they did not continue making it. Now there does not seem to be much of a choice. Thanks,

Rollover. What, a jeep can have one but an H3 can't? The width is the same. 82.8" for Jeep, 85.2" For H3.

a jeep can but then it throws off the center of gravity also giving a higher rolover weight as well and that 85.2 is including the rearview mirrors

Rear view mirrors? I know they add width but they can be folded in. I may just say skip the Alpha and go with an H2. I was Thinking I would hold off on an H2 until I hear about the Safari but I doubt it will hit the dealers anyway. I would be about 60k into the H3 so I might as well jump up and put that money into an H2. It is wide enough to lift, add 40's and a 6 inch Fabtech. Thanks for the help. It is not worth creating a rollover waiting to happen when my family rides with me. Thanks again. THe H2 is a lot wider which makes me feel a little better.

there all wide enough to lift but you have understand that any vehicle that goes up so does the center of gravity no matter what you lift theyll all loose some stability with rollovers. With the H3 and H2 you have the 60% side slop capability if you lift either of the 2 thats going to diminish

There are a few "lifted" 3's on this forum. Most people crank their "T" bars or level the front end. I think it's a matter of economics vs. desire but that's neither here nor there. You do know enough to use the search feature of the forum to find the lifted 3's?

Hmmm, I'm not quite so sure about robbing things. But I can honestly say:
"All my wives were 19 when I married them!"
Lord, that sounds bad!

Re: Doesn't anybody have any ideas or experience with lift kits?
I have seen the RC and the Rancho. I liked the RC but they were gutless I guess. I like the lookd of it lifted. I am not an Idiot. I know lifting it equals raising COG which decreases stability but I assume if I ask about a lift and the first thing out of someone is ,"Can you say Rollover", that leads me to believe rollovers are an issue with Lifted H3's. It does not seem to be a concern with a jeep or H2 or Silverado. I have searched this site through and through on Lifted H3's and I have concluded from the search that if I want 37's, it must be lifted. Same on an H2 with 40's. If I go H3 which I doubt very seriously I would lift it. That is the reason for the questions that I can't seem to get an answer for. Since I can't get the answer froma group that knows a lot about these rigs, I come to the conclusion that right now there is no good answer. So I can go RC that some owners have said to avoid, or TC which nobody seems to have experience with or Go with an H2 and get a Fabtec. I do not think lifting a vehicle that may have a propensity to rollover when lifted is a real good idea. I have had 4-wheelers, jeeps, and 4x4 trucks all my adult life and understand what I am trying to do. I am not a complete idiot, Just a partial idiot.

Re: Doesn't anybody have any ideas or experience with lift kits?
well you can throw 35"s on the H3 without a lift so for 37"s you wouldnt have to lift it much, i know people with the rancho lift and they like it, dont have any details on it but from what ive heard thats a good one.

Yo dude, prior to this it sounded as if you just wanted info about a lift. You should have specified running 37's.
Anything will roll over if it's center of gravity is high enough.
Well, maybe not an H1! JK.
Those 37" tires turn into another can of worms ($) with a 3.

Re: Doesn't anybody have any ideas or experience with lift kits?
Yeah, I wonder about the axles/cv's. I really like the Yellow RC set up and that was what I would do. I have really thought it through and I am just going to spend the extra 15k and get the H2. I am going to chunk 40's on it though. I just figured if a chevy 1500 with the 5.3 could handle 37's easily, (That is what I had on my other 03 z71) then the 5.3 h3 should handle it but suspension wise it may not be built for that type of HD stuff. Being built on a TB frame may mean a cushier ride than a truck suspension.

Why do you need to run 37" tires?
