Default Well I got the YELLOW DUCK back...

Picked up the YELLOW DUCK after the engine check light came on AGAIN. Both times OnStar said it was a Fuel Management problem.

The solution was: they replaces the #3 fuel injector and recalibrated whatever was necessary...

Anyone else ever had a Fuel Injector problem ?

RYD, what was the diagnosis of the original prob you had when you took it in a month or so ago? I think you had said you were having a brake grind sound? Maybe I got that wrong. You took it in for something and they had given you a loaner is all I recall.

Went in for wind noise around windshield (they fixed the plastic molding/reinstalled/glued/etc)

Brake Grinding Noise (forgot what they did)

Oil Change & Filter (did it)

4 Tire Rotation & Nail in 1 Tire (did it)

General Check Up (B.S cleaning & checking of system)

Got a Free Loaner (Caddy DTS w/Northstar Engine) They called 2 days later and said READY. Returned Loaner and picked up the duck, drove 40 miles to my Moms and picked up her Gray 06 H-3 (parked my HUMMER at her house, she won't drive mine because of the color) Took her H-3 back to them for an oil and filter change {she has 5000 miles in 16 months} as well as WIND NOISE and they gave me a loaner TrailBlazer (boy does that eat gas) Called the next day, ready, returned loaner and picked up the GRAY to return to MOMMY...Delivered Gray and picked up the DUCK and

BAM BAM

Service Enging Light comes on after 2 minutes... called OnStar said it was a FUEL MANAGEMENT PROBLEM...called dealer... returned next morning, got a loaner (DTS again) they called next day, everything OK, returned DTS & picked up the DUCK. Had it for a few hours and the Check Engine Light comes on AGAIN, Call OnStar got same diagonistic, called dealer, returned next morning, got DTS again, they called me 6 hours later,,, They replaced the number 3 fuel injector and reset sensors etc

NOW EVERYTHING OK, put about 100 miles on it/no prob

Worst part is I carry a lot of JUNK around in the DUCK so each time I carry it in i have to empty the whole thing etc etc etc...

I had a yellow H3 as a loaner from the dealer for 2 days. I have to tell you .. geeez, I had a real hard time driving a yellow vehicle. I DO know it's a matter of personal opinion. I know many would not drive a black H3, like mine. I found the yellow too bright for my eyes when driving (reflection off the hood) .. and I didn't like the way you can see the yellow in the interior metal around the doors. I thought it was unfinished/unpainted becasue in my black H3, the black metal around the door is black .. (:giggling) .. and I thought that's the way it should be in ALL interiors. LOL. But, one good thing is that although my H3 gets attention from others, the yellow gets even more. First they see something bright coming at them .. then they see it's a Hummer.

I'm glad they finally fixed your H3, RYD. The dealer where I bought my H3 gives H3's as loaners. The dealer closer to where I live, and where I normally get it serviced, gives Escalades, SRX's, and DTS's as loaners. Can't complain.

Here in South Florida I feel its important (for me) to have a lighter colored vehicle (YELLOW, White, Light Gray/Silver)

On a mid summer day when its 95 degrees and 92 % humitity when you go outside to your BLACK/DARK BLUE/RED/ DARK GREEN/BROWN/COPPER etc. HUMMER, its like 120 to 150 degrees inside and if your wearing nice threads it takes a while for it to cool down. In the meantime your DRESS SHORTS & DRESS TEE SHIRT show all the sweat...

BUT

The biggest reason is that I HAVE NEVER LOST IT IN THE PARKING LOT. Have to admit i went to a movie during a weekend day and when i came out after there were a few WANABEE SUV's in bright yellow spread around so it took me 15 seconds to find mine...

OH

Did I tell you i also seek "LOTS OF ATTENTION" and a yellow HUMMER be it a 2 or 3 draws LOTS OF ATTENTION

I wanted to get a yellow H3 but my hubby wouldn't let me. Said it had to be either black or blue. I chose black.

It's funny now because when he gets in the H3 in the summer- he complains on how hot it is inside. Then I remind him whose idea it was for a black one. I love my black h3 don't get me wrong.....I'm actually trading in for a new one soon since I've had a ton of stuff go wrong with mine lately.

Thumbs up Re: Well I got the YELLOW DUCK back...

Trailblazer that eats gas, must be the V8. Mark my words, wait 'til the threads start at the end of the year complaining about H3 Alpha gas mileage. With gas quickly approaching $4/gallon, that will only aggravate the situation.

Glad to hear you got the H3 back in working order.
