I have a pretty bad smell (sort of like exhaust or some sort of solvent) in the passenger compartment on my just purchased 03 H2 with 7600 miles. It is worst when the recirculating a/c is used. I is also more noticable when it is hot. The smell is also present when the truck has been parked and closed up.

I've noticed an "exhaust smell" in my '05 H2. It does not seem to happen consistently.

Don't think it would be related to the '03 problem as I'd hope that Hummer would have solved it in the following model years.

Any ideas?

thanks,

Greenhummer

Just talked to Hummer of Orlando service guy and he said " 03 would not be in this problem, it is only when the rear gear oil is changed" My 03 has only 7800 miles. He mentioned the new oil being "grape" and the smell goes away 500 miles after the change. And said info on the web is not accurate.
I think I am goin to have problems. (first question from him was "did you buy it here" answer "NO". He also mentioned the truck being "3" years old. It was purchased in 11/03 so it is only "1.5" years old. Any help!
