You're not heading down this way, are you? If so, swing by and say "Hi!"

Re: Sirius Satellite Radio Installation???
For me it was soooo rediculously easy. Mine is a factory nav 06 and it was literally unplug xm tuner behing glove box and use the supplied small harness to plug the factory plug into the Sirius tuner and run the wire for the Sirius antenna up to the roof.
Very simple. You don't even have to remove the stock stereo or trim around it! No joke. Then just 3m tape the new tuner up behind the dash somewhere.
Oh and BTW, steering wheel controls work perfectly, it'll still say XM1 and XM2 but it's Sirius!

I would, but we are heading to Moab after my son's wedding. Then we are meeting up with the left coasters to do the Rubicon. Then we will take the central route back.
When are you two going to join us?

You started with the XM hookup. I have an '04 that doesn't. Need to know what I need to make it work.

So all I need is just the tuner and I can hook it up so it displays the station info on the nav screen and the steering wheel controls work? If so, what tuner do I need?

What you need to know ? Vehicle must have factory satellite radio or be pre-wired at satellite tuner location. Connections are made at tuner location. ? Factory satellite radio tuner is located behind the glovebox. ? Factory radio must be "Satellite Ready". ? The Crutchfield MasterSheet, if available, does not cover OEM integration.? Adapter is included with satellite radio tuner. ? Adapter plugs into the factory radio. ? You will need to connect a 12V constant source and ground to this unit. ? Factory radio must be "Satellite Ready". ? The Crutchfield MasterSheet, if available, does not cover OEM integration.

I just got a 2006 H3 this past weekend and can't stand XM radio, so I bought the SIR-GM1. I've read through every post on this forum trying to come to some understanding of installing this thing. I read that the connection is behind glove box. I tried the two white plugs, but they wouldn't fit the plug that came with the SIR-GM1. I have the navigation system as well, if anyone can help that has the same setup as I do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Sirius Satellite Radio Installation???
I thinking you didn't read through EVERY post on this forum.
Maybe you should look in the H3 section for this post:
