Wow, so many facts are incorrect!

First of all old growth trees typically go to furniture and boarding. This wide lumber is too valuable to be used for anything else. One tree may be worth $150,000. Sorry, but that's not TP price effective.

Second of all, there are more trees in the US today than in 1900! What? How? Really? Yes the paper industry is one of the greenest industries that exists period. The fiber that makes up the pulp of toilet paper is typically soft wood like pine that grows very rapidly and is harvested every 12-15 years. The rest comes from scrap material comes from harvested land that is too small to be used for anything else. Oh and back to being green, as soon as the tree is cut down guess what happens. That's right, another tree is planted in it's place.

I'm all about being green, but come on now. At least know the facts of your arguement. It's like the danm Sea Shephard that follows around whaling fleets trying to disrupt their whaling. They do nothing but delay the harvesting of whales, burn 1000's of gallons of deisel, and inturn make the whaling fleet burn 1000's more gallons of deisel to make their quota. That sounds like a really sound plan to me! Green? Really?

BP just scored a major strike in the Gulf of Mexico. Mega miles of oil. This is part of why price of oil and gas is dropping of late. Too little too late or more for our childrens children. God only knows.
