JP Customs have a new iPOD interface - #GMIP-01. Apparently the difference with this interface is that it ACTUALLY can display the music text. Axxess have made adapters for GM and Volkswagen only so far.
I called JP and they said it works great. However, this product is new given that they've only had it on their shelves for the last couple of weeks (according to the Sales guy).
Anybody out there have one installed? I'm going to ditch the CD player idea and go with an iPOD instead. Then I'd have XM/iPod/DVD to switch between on the factory NAV.

I just ordered one. $129 with shipping. I have the PAC one, but haven't installed it yet. There were a couple of things I didn't like about the PAC but I thought I'd just deal with it, but this one looks awesome. I'm pumped!
Thanks for the heads up.
I'll be sure to tell you how it works.

Oooh, double thanks. Those are just the same relays that everyone uses for lights, etc, aren't they? They look like them.
You wouldn't happen to know where the XM module is on the '05 with Nav, do you?

I was at JP Customs (just outside of Houston) when the first axxess came in and had it installed in my "04 H2 SUV.Its awesome to say the least. It displays the playlist, titles, and artist. MY ipod is plugged in under the center console lid where the tissue holder is located.with the axxess I retained all the steering wheel controls.

I was looking for the same thing. I have an 02 with Nav and a remote CD changer mounted. I use the CD through the Nav screen, XM works just find. Can I do the same with the iPod?

Call JP Customs ask for Jason
http://www.jpcustoms.com/store/customer/home.php
He does all the electronic installs for a couple of Hummer and GM dealers in the Houston area.
