Default Stuck in park!

Hello fellow owners,

04 H2. So I pull into the house and go to put it in reverse and it's just not happening. I put it in park and now it will not shift out of park. Turn off the truck and removed the center console to depress the lock solenoid so I can put it in neutral. Of course now I can't start the truck because it thinks it's in drive. Changed out the solenoid, no good. Changed out the shift lock control switch, no good. Can't find any burnt fuses. Any thoughts?

Actually it was quite simple. That dang plastic clip that holds the shifter cable to the shift lever underneath had disintegrated. Got the $5 kit from advanced and fixed it in 2 minutes.

Recently had to do mine too. If (when) this happens to anyone also spend the $10 and get the whole lever which is GM part # 15251895 . No need to take the chance of the ball on the end of the lever rusting off.

I got my bushing off of eBay from this guy: https://www.ebay.com/itm/USA-Transmi...53.m2749.l2649

They are a hard urethane type material that grabs on both sides, instead of one on some of the ones that I found.
