Check engine light came on.
code for

Bank 1, 1st O2 sensor

looking at the engine from the front which is bank 1 ?

and the first sensor is that the one closest to the manifold?

how many miles on the truck ?are you useing antifreeze (leaking head gasket )? that can kill a O2 Quick ,try getting a can of Seafoam and put it in the gas tank with a fillup and see if you can clean it . if that won't work and you want to fix it right replace both front O2 sensors ,if one is bad the othe is not far behind . use Bosch $50.00 each .

Bank one is the drivers side. The oxy sensor your looking for is the one before the catylytic converter, closest to the engine. Ron

awesome guys thanks. I cleared the codes nad it came bacak within a half hour. I will go to pepbiys and see if I can get the seamfoam first.
It has done 50k without missing a beat,

great truck.

How hard is it to replace? I think I have one out on my Suburban Z71. I was quoted $800.

Thats rediculous. Its a $50-75 part, takes 10 mins to change, using a 1" wrench....
