Hey F5 on that actuator assy we discusssed on the thread where I said my stab light check 4wd light came on can you send me a PM with the specifics of replacing the gear assy on the xfer case. The unit on the end of the chain of the TCCM mounted on the xfer case with the harness going to it.

I think I can get the part for the 150 and I am going to swap it out myself. It didn't do it for 2 days as far as the dash light and scrolling text. today it did it again and then went away. I have the part on a spat order and when it comes in I need to know the proper GM install remove replace procedure. Any details you can send my way would be much appreciated looks like plug and play however looks to be a small set screw on the outside of the assy at first glance and I want to make sure there arent any fine adjustments needed and if so how to do them correctly.

Thanks F5

Mike

There are numerous things that can cause this problems, one is the TCCM, the other is the encoder motor, and or course any wiring/connectors, etc., between these components and the switches and BCM.
There is a bulletin to reprogram the TCCM, but it appears this reprogram is only for a condition where certain codes are noted, but some dealers may just reprogram blindly, rather than troubleshooting the actual problem.
Yes these parts are definitely covered under warranty.

I donated to the F5 fund at an earlier trend, but I'll donate again, Or maybe we should just buy F5 a bottle of Morgans.

Everyone is welcome. But I'm headed to the bar tonight, so won't be checking back tonight, and have the auto show tomorrow night, then the bar again.
