Damn tree huggers
Well, I was finally "hit" with some crappy "GAS GUZZLER -- I'M SUPPORTING THE DEATHS OF OUR SOLDIERS" bull%$#@! today. My wife drove our rig to her school and some bastard in the parking lot wrote all over the outside of my beast using the dirt as his or her pallet. I was just furious.
That in conjunction with this past weekend... some idiot walked past me shaking his head and looking at my rig... I asked him what his problem was? He said that he could not believe I would drive such a destructive vehicle. I told him to button it... then reminded him that wearing bandanas in public went out in the mid-80's.
So... I went out today... jacked my rig up another 18", slapped 44" Mud Swampers on it... took the exhaust off to run straight headers... then proceeded to cut down the largest old growth Douglas Fir tree I could illegally find... and planted it up the managers arse! Well... maybe not... but now I feel better!!!

Re: Damn tree huggers
i generally try not to notice the politics in my hobbies (and try not to get annoyed on this forum) but...
hummers are the target b/c these idiots are JEALOUS
ford (mustang), chevy (corvette and maybe camaro), dodge (charger) are making "muscle cars" again
and "middle America" all drive huge f250's (etc.)
but hummers are anti-american soldiers? anti-environment?
the best is these hollywood idiots (incl. al gore) who have huge cars, and private jets
as a civil engineer i am acutely aware of what is going on w/ the environment incl. taking "green design" courses as part of continuing ed. to satisfy my licensing requirements
here is the news:
cars, etc. consume approx. 9-19% of "fossil fuels"
bldgs. are approx. 40%
and we (the US) eliminated the apparent answer-rem. nuclear???
so when the women in my office bitch about my h2 i tell them actual stats and facts like these and finish w/ "now go back to your desk in your 85 degree office (w/ an extra electric heater on), go home to your 85 degree house-my house is beween 60 and 65 degrees b/c i support the soldiers-oh yeah shut the fuk up"
haha tree hugging ignorants

Re: Damn tree huggers
You are 100% right. F them. I love how they never cared until gas prices rose.

Re: Damn tree huggers
Frankly, I like driving mine up to Boulder at Christmas time with my freshly cut Christmas tree strapped to the top while I'm wearing my mink 'pimp' coat and drinking my coffee from a styrofoam cup that I toss out the window when done. Good thing it's got a Greenpeace sticker on the back...

Re: Damn tree huggers
I don't know why people do that! Do you honestly think after dropping $50+ grand on an H2 we're simply going to go "Well, I guess I had better stop driving and buy myself a nice Prius, it was fun while it lasted old buddy!"
Friggin' idiots is all they are. Honestly, this is America, drive a friggin' semi-truck to work if that floats your boat! These enviro's need to get a life.

Re: Damn tree huggers
The more rage that I see, the happier I am. Does anyone really care what they think? I still don't see why it makes Hummer drivers so angry unless they actually DO something malicious to your rig (in which case I'm all for immediate execution).

your right, thats what i always tell people when they ask me about my gas mileage but lucky still no dirty looks or complaits about it yet (knock on wood). Only ignorant people are upset with things so as that. One of my teachers was talking about pollution and said somethign like who would drive hummers, i brought up the point how its more pollutant to make a Prius than it is to drive an H3 and its more expensive to drive one too, he quickly changed the subject.
