Does anyone have any experience with the hard or soft Hummer cargo carriers? Thinking of getting one, but I don't want it to look too "minivanish".

Thanks, gary

I had the Thule shell (i.e. hard carrier) on my GMC Yukon and liked its usefulness, but not the appearance. I opted for an open carrier on my H2 so that I can accommodate things such as the spare tire and oversized camping gear.

The hard shell has advantages in that it's fully enclosed from the elements and can be locked. Advantages of the open carrier is that I have better height clearance compared to the shell and wider plus taller items will fit.
