What is the best way to get White Drls/Headlights
Is there a simple bulb change or do i need to convert to hids? Just after a white color light I hate the yellow.

Re: What is the best way to get White Drls/Headlights
Well if you just want to keep the stock system and upgrade the bulb to a more white bulb.... I would say just some SilverStars. I did the swap right after getting my rig and it was a big improvement.....
This is where I will contradict myself.
Though they were worth it by improving the light, i wish i would have spend probably about the same amout of money on HIDs.
I did SilverStars on my Tundra and they were OK.
I did HIDs and they were amazing.
Why didnt I just do HIDs on my H2.... ummm a lapse in judgement, or wasnt thinking, or just a plan ole brain fart.
Anyways, I am getting ready to switch to HIDs

I was under the impression that Hids were fairly expensive

Re: What is the best way to get White Drls/Headlights
Nah!
I have seen plenty out there that were, but after going with a set from Ebay that were around 50 bucks for my Tundra they were great.
Many of them offer the lifetime replacement or long warranties and such. I know the ones I had did and after a few years one went out and they would have replaced them if I still had my receipt.
So I ordered another set.... still about 50 bucks. They showed up and there was an issue with one of the ballasts..... they sent me a whole new set and didnt ask for the other back.
And these purchases were from two different vendors.
The other issue I had with the SS lights was they burned out alot due to heat. They burn hot. Havent had that issue with them on my H2, but one the Tundra I was replacing those things every 2-3 months

Re: What is the best way to get White Drls/Headlights
I order all my HID's from ddmtuning.com and have had great success. I've installed over 100 kits in various vehicles and never had an issue with them. I've been running a DDM kit in my rig since I've had it and not one problem.
Be sure you buy the optional relay harness-dual in, dual out.

Around $65 I believe with the relay harness. The reason a lot of people have issues is because they don't use a relay harness. The HID ballasts after a while cannot pull the correct wattage/amperage through the stock wiring to fire both capsules. Resulting in flickering, one side not lighting, etc.
Relay harnesses connect to the battery and a ground with larger wires. When the headlights turn on the only thing the stock wiring does is signal the relay to close. Then the large amount of power needed for the ballasts is pulled through the bigger wires from the relay harness.
The harness makes them 100% reliable.

Re: What is the best way to get White Drls/Headlights
Since the deuce uses a 9007 type light am I correct by selecting a 9007 low/high beam hid kit from ddmtuning

Re: What is the best way to get White Drls/Headlights
honestly you don't need a high beam. The lows of an HID will be brighter than any high beam anyway. I never buy dual beam HID's but that's up to you.
For instance the wifes Jeep Liberty is H13 dual filament. However when I ordered I just picked the H13 low beam-NOT the H13 Hi/Low

Re: What is the best way to get White Drls/Headlights
Glad to hear, they used to come from California but now I think all of their stuff is coming from China.
The wifes kit arrived last week, got around to installing it today only to realize the damn Jeep is a CAN BUS. So now I have error eliminators and resistors on the way to fix all that crap.
Glad I didn't have to worry about that with my 2!

Re: What is the best way to get White Drls/Headlights
I agree with LJ,
when I had the HIDs in my Tundra the low beams were bright enough. I bought a single beam kit originally and decided later when one of my lights went out to just buy a full dual beam kit. I Guess I just wanted to see how bright the brights were or just to have my lights not turn off when I clicked the brights.
Well, I wasnt happy, but only because I paid the extra money for nothing.
The low beams were the nice bright HIDs..... The high beams were the stock high beam type light. So basically when I flashed my high beams it wasnt as bright as the driving lights and looked like things were backwards.
I called to find out what was up and they said that since HIDs need "warm up time" there is no way that they can make a HID high beam that is able to "click immediately on" like the stock high beams.
So as before I was happy with the single beam since it was bright enough to make 18 wheelers move over (since with regular lights they wouldnt move and act like they owned the road), and if I had to flash.... people still understood when the lights went off and on.
Like I said... I am definitely getting some soon

I also did the big switch over to HID's about 1 year ago and love them!!! I'd never go back to regular headlights now.
