08 inner door panel on an 05
Anyone tried this yet? I need a rear door pocket and have only found complete door panels for 08 and up. Only 135.00 on ebay and I like the design better but not sure if they will fit. Looks like the lock and door handle workings would have to modified but it looks like the will snap on the door.

Re: 08 inner door panel on an 05
I've seen threads that have asked this question many times on here, it always no fail ends up where we get someone to buy a panel, and they say it's on it's way and that they will try it on and post pictures, then we mysteriously never hear from them again.
I'm sure it would fit just fine (as far as attaching to the door), simply because the doors never had any real change to the metalwork.
However you problem comes in when it comes to aligning with the dash, which almost surely will not happen (ie, the dash or the door pnael will have too much length and you won't be able to close the door), you also have to deal with the mess of the window defrost, which I don't believe is piped in the same way.
Then after that deal you have to deal with the wiring which will be completely different.
Even after this, it won't line up.
They are good looking door panels though, I'll give them that, also much better quality.
If you would like to get some presses and build and sell some door panels.... well you may get a couple buyers

I didnt think about everything lining up on the dash etc. I was just looking at the shape and handle location. I guess I will just keep shopping for an 03-07 panel.

I wish someone would show us what they came up with as well lol, i wonder if its worth changing the whole works so it matches...dash and door panels. You would think there would be tons of 03-07 door panels out there but of course there isn't.

After looking inside an '08 I don't see how it could work in the older years, pretty sure it won't as it is just completely different.
