H3 Buyer to be? is off the scale
Default

I just got off the phone with Jason at Air Raid Fitlers here in Scottsdale, AZ. They test fit the H3 last week, and found that the fitment was the same as the Colorado. The only problem was that the weather strip is a little high, and needs to be pushed down to fit. He said it is not an issue, and they are going to have a new one out in the next month or two!

Per Jason, the HP gain was 10 HP (not sure how accurate those numbers are, but anything will help!)

i would say getting HP gains off an air filter is BS, but it will make it get a nice growl when you get on the gas, and perhaps increase mileage.... i took the cover off my airbox this weekend and it sounds pretty cool.. im trying to do a little test to see if it helps at all.. currently im getting about 14.3 mpg according to my last tank of gas 230 miles, and 16 gallons to fill it. ill keep you posted

I wonder if it will be CARB approved (for those of us in the Democratic People's Repulic of California).

ya it wont be much gain in hp but we need all we can get! lol

also, if you can add 5 mods that gain 10+hp each - you will have decent hp to for better acceleration.

so far, I have no problems at all once I get going, in fact this things likes to speed. Many times I have already found myself doing 15-25 miles over the speed limit and had no idea I was going that fast.

Same here. Several times I've glanced at the speedometer reading of 75-80mph. The ride is so smooth & quiet it's hard to tell that I'm going that fast.

Agree!

I've noticed it while accelerating as well. I know it isn't the fastest thing (although it feels about the same as my ZR2 Blazer) but it is so quite I'm like come on lets go...and it is already up to fifty!

Anybody tried the flowmaster yet? The air filter is suppose to improve HP, but what about gas mileage. I'm not trying to get 12-13 mpg like the H2

It does help. We use to sell a ton of them for the 2's and everyone loved them. i put one on my pontiac and you can feel the diffrence, even though it is minor.

First Hummer, I saw on this website that the intake and exhaust for the H3 were $999.95 each. That has to be BS right? If you pay that I would have to stop talking to you...
