SO, we had sleet and snow today here in Denver. I drove the wife to work and than came home. Should have been a 30 minute drive, but with all of the idiots that have their Ford mustangs and rear wheele drive sports cars out, it took 2 1/2 hours.
so when i got home, I pulled into the garage. i have to fold the mirrors in before entering. they were frozen. After two times, the PS SD mirror would fold all of the way, but the DS SD would only go half way in.
H2 is melting in the garage and i know the mirrors will fold no problem once they defrost.
My questions is; Is there any way or anything to use on the mirror to prevent this from happening again? some type of spray or is there a bad seal or something?

I am an expert in this area with all of the winter weather we have.
But try some silicone spray around the trim of the mirror where it pivots. Silicone might keep the freezing water from adhereing well enough to stop them from moving. Worth a cheap try.

Try turning the heated mirrors on.

I had the same problem last year and the Hummer dealership where I bought the H-2 told me that GM is trying to figure out a way to prevent that from happening in the future.
