After my last trip to Hollister I had a pretty bad grinding noise coming from the front end so I took it in to the dealer.
At first they thought it was the T-case. The driveline wasn't spinning true and was causing some wear in the t-case. They ordered a new gear but got the wrong one. So they end up ordering a whole new t-case and put that in last week.
Get everything back together, take it for a test drive and it sounds worse. So they check out the front diff. and find some of the teeth are chipped on one of the gears. Time to replace the front diff.
So finally, today, three weeks, a t-case, and a new front diff. later, I picked up my truck. The good thing is it was all covered under warranty, no questions asked. They showed me the dollar breakdown and there were about $3K in parts alone.
Sewie, did you at least get a loaner?

Glad to hear you got it back , just don't like hearing how long it takes the dealer to get things like this fixed .
They did give me a rental car and I was gone for a week so it wasn't too bad. But driving it off the lot last night felt like taking a test drive again.

I know the feeling. My H2 was in the shop for just over two weeks a while back and after driving a rental car for that time, I felt like a king driving my big HUMMER off the lot when I picked it up
