Re: New Jeep Willy's Concept
Jeep, through sheer number of new models and aftermarket support, may continue to be the leader in off-roading vehicles. I can no longer say that I would never consider a Jeep...
I don't know if I'm digging this concept.

Re: New Jeep Willy's Concept
I usually like the Jeep concepts, but this one......ewwww. And those wheels look like they came off the H3x.

Re: New Jeep Willy's Concept
Since that concept is from 2001, I'd wager that, no, they did not rip off an FJC

I like the roofline and the short overhangs/departure/approach angles.

I agree, if it had 17's and 35's or whatever those are, it would be pretty cool.

Re: New Jeep Willy's Concept
It looks better in the outside shots, but it is still pretty ugly for a concept vehicle. I would have liked to see shackles on the back instead of those bars inset in the bumpers. I hate having to loop recovery straps through anything like that. Great approach and departure angles though. Looks like a few of the older and current Jeeps grafted into one, like a Liberty/Wrangler cross.
Not bad, but not great either.
Has anyone seen the Patriot? I heard about it months ago, and forgot about it, and just recently saw it on their web site. Again, not bad, but not great. Very entry level, almost reminds me of the Cherokee before they axed it. Vinyl seats standard. But for something 4WD and more "sturdy" than the Wrangler in terms of roof, etc. it's not bad, about $20K loaded. I would actually like to see the Liberty axed in favour of it.
Just my two cents. I'd probably still not buy it, but Jeep is slowly becoming desirable. Still no Hummer though. Biggest advantage is Jeep rolling out diesels in everything now, from the Liberty to the Grand Cherokee. I hope it puts some pressure on GM for the Hummer lineup, even their Suburban/Yukon lineup. I just like diesel.

Jeep must really be desperate to plagiarize the FJ.
