Default What is your H3 battery's key-off/parasitic drain?

Has anyone measured their H3's battery key-off drain?

My 2006 H3 initially begins at about 70mA with the BCM consuming 60mA it. After about 30 minutes, the BCM appears to drop from 60mA to 10mA leaving my total drain to about 20mA. This seems to be very normal.

Mine is 70mA; however, with the BCM out of the equation (i.e., fuse #14 pulled), I read only 10mA. Is 60mA normal for the H3's BCM? I could run the computers in both my other 2 cars with 60mA.

interesting question...

i have about 60-70 mA with the alarm off. didnt measure to see if there would be a drop afterwards, maybe i'll measure today. havent got a drained battery yet so i guess its good. 20mA drain seems real good.

edit:
oh i forgot to ask, how do you know its the bcm and not something else changing, is there a way to check only bcm draw. thanks.

Initially, when it was reading 70mA, I pulled fuse #14 which dropped it to 60mA. Reinstalled fuse and waited. Meter then dropped to 20mA. Pulled the fuse again and down it went to 10mA. When I reinstalled the fuse, it went back to 70mA again for about 30 minutes.

Pulling fuses is not a good idea to find draws... Its a huge waist of time and can cause voltage spikes... Use an amp clamp.. That way you can also isolate individual circuits... I would also wait about 30-60 minutes for consumers to fall asleep to get an accurate reading.
