Default Anyone have a wrecked Hummer or good junkyard source?

Basically I am trying to find some back up or replacement pieces for my 2003.
I called the local U-Pull It place and they said they had nothing for Hummer Vettes or M3s (my three cars).
I am not looking for a normal junkyard that thinks thats a simple used part is worth 25% less then a brand new part. If that was the case... I would just buy new. I am looking for someone or someplace that will let you go shopping and in the end you didnt spend much.
Thanks

I have the same problem here in North West Florida.

We even are trying to buy Suburban and Yukon parts for the HUMMER since they are cheaper.
Wish you luck ~Rich

Yeah, I hear ya.
My problem is I am looking for more "hummer specific" parts
Other items I tend to either make or buy new or take from donors :-)

This is a junkyard in the suburbs of Detroit. They carry a ton of GM parts. You can call them and they will find what you need.

I doubt you're gonna find many "Suburban and Yukon" parts that are gonna fit your deuce that weren't cross-vehicle ("shared") parts from the get go.

I mean, you could prolly save money if you went to the junkyard and said, "I need an upper control arm for a 2005 Tahoe" versus "a 2005 H2." The "H2" might make them think they can squeeze you for more money. Either way you're still getting UCA Stock Code 15864153.

Look your parts up on this site and make certain that they truly are "HUMMER specific" first...most mechanical parts are were shared with other trucks/vans.

Thanks Guru,
Basically what I am looking for is say an extra center dash piece or an extra body panel. Something I can try to do some mock ups on without ruining my parts.
So yeah they are definitely not a shared piece.

Given I was thinking about the common pieces the other day on the way home.
Just thinking.....
Are there parts out there to keep my Rig on the road.
Apparently, there is based on you stating there are cross matched parts from sub-burpins and tahoes
Good to know.
Thanks

I have a complete set of doors and two hoods (hoods are not complete, just hoods, no trim) I'm about to put up for sale.

Both hoods had small cracks in the front but I'm about to put them in primer and repair them.

What are the stock color of the hoods?

I'll go back and look but one is definitely pewter. I'll check the other.

The other is black...

The pewter has a hood scoop on it. (which I think is bolted in the stock handle holes but two sided taped everywhere else)

Both were repaired in the right front corner.

What was the scoop for? I love the black hood louvers and handles, but intrigued on additional engine cooling possibilities.

My bet is it's just for show.

Mark,
I am sure others are interested to know if you are willing to separate the scoop from the hood if you sell?

What price ranges are you looking for everything?
