LOOKS SWEET! NICE RIG AND BIKE! ..........MUST HAVE NOW! ........CAN'T RESIST!

Q1: Did you have to use a hitch extension?
Is so, what length?

Q2: Is it stable from DR SD to PS SD? Or does it rattle back and forth?

Q3: How close does the fairing get when loading?

Q4: What model Varsahaul is that?

Q5: Do you notice the bike's weight back there while driving? Air suspension or no air suspension on your rig?

Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks,
Tim.

A1. Yes, I have a 7" extension
A2. It does move back and forth but it's not too bad. I'm going to work on something to make it more stable.
A3. The bike clears the tire about 2-3 inches.
A4. VH-SPORT-RO
A5. Yes, you can feel the extra weight as expected with anything you haul...and yes I do have the air suspension...works great.

it might be wise to get a second HD stabilizer bracket. that's what i'm going to do. you will need it if you are adding the extension to clear the rear tire carrier.

Good call!!! </div></BLOCKQUOTE> Yeah, I think that's why mine was not as stable as it should have been...because of the extension and having only that one HD stabilizer bracket. However, it was sturdy enough for me to get the bike home. I will be sure to have that extra HD stabilizer next time I transport the bike.

timgco, by the way, you will need a little muscle when mounting this bike carrier...this thing is no light-weight.

I figured as much! It looks HD! I'll also need help loading that 600RR up there the first time too.

it's not that hard to load the bike up on the carrier yourself but you may need help the first time. i do it on my own but i'm careful. just take a towel or something soft and put between the bike and the tire...then just lean the bike up against the tire as you hook up the straps and tighten it down. it will take practice but you will get used to it. if you're not comfortable with doing it that way then just make sure that you have someone to balance the bike as you strap it down.
