She's home in my driveway....
Well, I flew down to Tampa and met the dealer selling my H2 SUT. I picked it up and though I've had SEVERAL bad dealings from trying to buy vehicles online, I am happy to say I lucked out finally.
I picked up an '06 white SUT with 42K for 28K. I was offered a stealth blue identical except in an '05 for $22.5 but couldn't deal with the color. (no offense to those that have that color...just not for me)
Anyway, she's almost perfect. The gauge cluster "glass" has a crack in it, I'll have to see if I can find another speedometer cluster and replace the plastic "glass" cover and it didn't come with a tonneau cover so I'll need to find one of those.
I'm replacing the hood handles and hood tie down straps with black and I've got a grille in my shop that I'm painting white now. When it's done, I'll post pics.
There are two tiny scratches on the left side but other than that, she's about perfect.
I'm not sure who makes these black wheels. When I saw them when I saw the pics online, I was like "no way" but I actually kind of like them now. They have that H1 style look going on wiht them.
Having said that, I've got a set of these wheels below waiting at the shop with Mickey Thompson MTZ's with 35's on them.
I'm not much of a chrome person but these still look rugged enough.
I'm not putting a liftkit on this one. The last time I installed big tires, I installed a liftkit. Then gears, then it didn't have enough balls so supercharger, blah, blah, blah... and what did I end up with?.... block of wood cruising down the highway at 85 getting 7 mpg.
So I'm installing a levelling setup that will net me 2-3 inches and a set of 35's. That way it won't kill my gear ratio.
I just had to say that driving back 9-10 hours made me feel like I was in my old H2... that's a GREAT feeling.
Anyway, it's good to be in the fold again.
Mark

She's a beauty - congrats! So will you become WhiteCrush? I just read where some insurance companies give better rates to white SUVs because statistically, they are involved in less accidents.

Good luck. I like the rims already on there and zI like the rims you picked out. Post some pics of new rims when you get them on. I was looking at getting a white one too until I stumbled upon my LE. Welcome back!

Re: She's home in my driveway....
Beautiful H2~ I'm partial to the '06 SUT! I've had mine since I bought it new for over 3 years and 48,000 miles and no problems except a windshield crack from rocks, then the side pillars because the at your home service didn't seal them right with the new windshield, and my BCM controller failed (the only time back to the dealer). I think '06 was a good year for H2s. I like the open air feel of the SUT when you open the side windows, the back window and the sunroof! I noticed it has the '07 style chromed door handles. ENJOY

Well, that was my original intention.... that was until I saw a white one that I really liked.
I know that's wussing out but on the bright side, I'll be able to drive my truck 2 months earlier...lol
Seriously, I've got so many projects going on that I honestly don't have the time to get started on a color change for my own vehicle.
Both of my shops have too many projects/restorations going on to take the time.

Actually, I was just getting ready to put them on craigslist. I was holding off because I had found someone that wanted to trade a tonneau cover for them but I haven't heard back.
I want 800 for 4 wheels with tires. There's about 70% on rear tires, about 35-40% on front.
If you're interested, let me know before I put them up for sale.

YAY! Glad you got a new(er) one!
I like the pink jeep in the background. Very bold.
