Hummer H2 Steering Pump.
Hello,
Do you guys know of an after market heavy duty steering pump for the Hummer H2. The stock steering pump on the my H2 broke because I have bigger sized tires on my H2. So I am looking for a steering pump for the H2 that can handle big tires.
Second question,
Is it possible to reinforce the current steering pump on the Hummer H2 so it can handle bigger sized tires? If it is possible what parts should I buy?

Re: Hummer H2 Steering Pump.
I snapped the shaft on my pump clean in half about 2.5 weeks back. ****ing around in deep snow w/ a load on the steering and hit the brakes at the same time. POOF! Atleast I was still in my driveway...
Rubberducks site wasn't functional at that time... Really didn't find anyone else that supplied something better than stock. I called up AGR Performance and they're building me a new pump, chromoly shaft & needle bearings. About $275. Its the same pump from their ram assisted steering setups. They just shipped it yesterday, should be here begenning next week.

Thank you for that link. It seems that they are the same part on both websites.

Re: Hummer H2 Steering Pump.
yea, I'm thinking none of those have a chromoly shaft in them. Looks like the HD unit is the upgraded pump and upgraded bearings only. If it had the chromoly shaft, I would think it would be in the description, but I could be wrong.
AGR builds these to order, unless rubberduck stocks them expect a few extra days for assembly. They were snowed in superbowl week & didn't have any parts to build units untill late the following week.
I was warned that putting that chromoly shaft in my pump will break the next weak link if I ever loaded the system again. I'm sure I'll find out what that may be at some point...

Mine snapped in the Rausch Creek Parking lot, 2 minutes after getting off some nasty, muddy, twisting, turning, rocky runs!
If it happened 5 minutes earlier it would have been a nightmare!

Re: Hummer H2 Steering Pump.
Well for me the shaft never broke the pump exploded but it was expected because I had large tires on it.
